The Shapeshifter is one of the most dangerous enemies in Animal Hospital because it disguises itself as a normal patient. At first, it behaves like any other visitor, making it difficult to identify before it suddenly transforms and attacks.

Knowing how the Shapeshifter works is essential if you want to prevent patient deaths and survive longer during a run.

Gun

The Gun is one of the safest methods.

• Requires 2 shots to defeat the Shapeshifter.
• Eliminates it quickly before it can drain too much Sanity.

Players using the Secret Agent class have a major advantage because they begin the game with a gun.

Taser

The Taser is another excellent option.

You can retrieve one from Reception if you don’t already have a weapon.

Since the Shapeshifter moves slower than players, it’s usually possible to reach the Taser before it catches you.

What Happens After It Dies?

After being defeated:

If an Anomaly dies because it receives the wrong treatment, it transforms into a Shapeshifter before disappearing.
