The Gun is one of the safest methods.
- Requires 2 shots to defeat the Shapeshifter.
- Eliminates it quickly before it can drain too much Sanity.
Players using the Secret Agent class have a major advantage because they begin the game with a gun.
Taser
The Taser is another excellent option.
You can retrieve one from Reception if you don't already have a weapon.
Since the Shapeshifter moves slower than players, it's usually possible to reach the Taser before it catches you.
Fighting by Hand
If you don't have a weapon, melee attacks still work.
Keep attacking until the enemy is defeated.
This becomes much easier when multiple players attack together.
What Happens After It Dies?
After being defeated:
- The Shapeshifter collapses.
- Its mouth remains open briefly.
- It transforms back into a normal-looking patient.

If an Anomaly dies because it receives the wrong treatment, it transforms into a Shapeshifter before disappearing.
