Liberty Falls sets the stage for some intense zombie encounters, and having a reliable wonder weapon early on can make or break the experience. The Jet Gun isn’t just another gun; it’s a must-have tool for anyone aiming to clear objectives or just dominate waves, thanks to its unique abilities and staying power.

The return of the Jet Gun brings back one of the most memorable wonder weapons in franchise history. Its strength and mechanics feel just right, giving players a satisfying blend of crowd control and utility right from the start.

One of the Jet Gun’s greatest advantages is its infinite ammo, but beware of overheating. Watching that heat counter while holding down fire can be the difference between chaos and clutch survival in tight moments.

The primary fire is fascinating—it inhales nearby zombies and pests, killing them instantly while also collecting salvage, armor plates, and tactical gear. This sucking mechanic makes it invaluable during hectic rounds where scavenging on the move is crucial.

Additionally, the weapon can draw in certain Easter Egg items scattered throughout the map, making it essential not just for combat but for progression and unlocking secrets.

Its alternate fire unleashes a massive fiery blast that wipes out enemies in a wide radius but immediately overheats the weapon. This high-risk, high-reward attack demands timing and positioning to avoid leaving yourself vulnerable.

Overheat recovery feels slow during battles, so knowing when to back off and switch weapons is key. You’ll want to pair the Jet Gun with a reliable backup gun to keep pressure on the undead when the flames die down.

The crafting table is your starting point for the Jet Gun, located inside a rundown motel’s second floor in Liberty Falls. Heading there early on round one offers an easy way to rack up points as zombies pour out once you approach.

Getting to that room quickly is essential to start assembling the weapon before the rounds ramp up. You can interact with the crafting table for hints, but it’s not necessary for crafting—you’ll still need to find all three parts scattered across the map.

You can interact with the table to get an audio cue about it but it’s not required. You’re going to need three parts to craft this wonder weapon, as per usual.

The first part, the Gauge, awaits in the bowling alley—this one you want as early as possible. Look for a panel on the wall directly opposite the ammo and mystery box spawn. It requires a quick knife or gunshot to open.

Next, make your way to the flower shop on Washington Ave near Speed Cola. Outside the entrance, a water spigot with a valve awaits. Grab the valve by interacting with it, then return to the panel you opened in the bowling alley.

Attach the valve to the panel and hold interact to start building water pressure. This process takes time and triggers waves of event zombies, so prepare for some fight interruptions.

Managing the pressure pump isn’t just about holding a button—you’ll need to kill the attacking zombies while balancing the pressure build-up. Using decoys or help from teammates is highly recommended since getting surrounded can quickly lead to failure.

Make sure to stay in the bowling alley during this process: leaving or letting pressure dissipate means starting over. Once complete, a burst of flames signals the Gauge’s arrival—grab it and move on.

The Gauge secured, the next target is the cemetery for the Handbrake.

The Handbrake is dropped by a unique enemy known as the Groundskeeper who patrols the church graveyard. This zombie stands out with its distinctive look and title, making him easier to spot if you know what to look for.

After killing the Groundskeeper, collect the key he drops—a distinct loot separate from usual enemy drops.

Timing this kill during a spider round can be a big help. The Groundskeeper blends into crowds and his tiny key can get lost, so striking while spiders thin the horde is a smart tactic.

Use the key to unlock a nearby shed just one door down from the cemetery. Inside lies the Handbrake; grab it to complete the next part of your build.

Last up are the Wires, which require a bit more firepower. You’ll need either a mangler canon or a mutant injection, though the mangler canon is recommended to preserve valuable mutant injections.

Manglers occasionally drop their canon arm, but farming one can be unreliable. Instead, craft your own mangler canon at a nearby crafting table close to the cemetery shed for 1250 salvage.

With the canon ready, head to the radio store across from Ollie’s Comics. The entrance is barred by a gate that must be destroyed with the canon.

Once inside, search through debris piles until you find the Wires—the final Jet Gun component.

Return to the motel’s crafting table and combine all three parts: the Gauge, Handbrake, and Wires. This final interaction grants you the Jet Gun, ready to turn the tides of any wave.
