  • Every point you invest in Body grants a flat increase of +2 Max Health, which stacks quickly as you progress toward level 20. Beyond boosting your survivability, Body sharpens your effectiveness with several weapon types, such as: Shotguns Light Machine Guns (LMGs) Heavy Machine Guns (HMGs) Blunt Weapons, including Gorilla Arms cyberware It also unlocks practical perks outside of combat, letting you force open certain locked doors, rip heavy weapons off enemy turrets, and trigger unique conversational options that reflect your solo-trained background. While these aspects don’t always show up on character build sheets, they influence how some quests unfold and open alternative paths.
  • The Body attribute links directly to the Solo passive skill track, which grows purely through in-combat use of Body abilities. Actions like punching, tanking damage, or charging enemies contribute to leveling up Solo, capped at level 60. In Cyberpunk 2077, raw physical strength can be just as powerful a tool as any weapon. The Body attribute defines how V tackles challenges with sheer force, from tearing turrets off their mounts to breaking down locked doors. Its role has evolved significantly in the latest updates, making it a critical choice for players focusing on brute strength and resilience.

Body is the attribute for players who’d rather solve a problem by hitting it until it stops moving. It’s the stat behind V’s raw physical power, and it’s for when you’ve ever wanted to rip a turret off its mount or punch through a locked door.

Since Patch 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion of Cyberpunk 2077, Body works differently than it did at launch. The old Athletics/Annihilation/Street Brawler split is gone. Everything now sits inside one unified perk tree tied directly to your Body attribute level. It’s genuinely one of the better-designed trees in the game.

Every point you invest in Body grants a flat increase of +2 Max Health, which stacks quickly as you progress toward level 20.

Every point you put into Body gives you a flat +2 Max Health, which adds up fast if you’re pushing toward level 20. Beyond that, raising Body improves your handling with:

  • Shotguns
  • Light Machine Guns (LMGs)
  • Heavy Machine Guns (HMGs)
  • Blunt Weapons (Gorilla Arms count here too)

It’s also your ticket to a handful of non-combat perks most players overlook. These include forcing open certain locked doors, ripping HMGs straight off enemy turrets, and unlocking intimidating or “solo-trained” dialogue options in conversations.

None of that shows up on a build spreadsheet, but it changes how a few quests play out.

One crucial consideration is how attribute and perk point respecs differ. You can reset perk points freely anytime you want, but attribute points can only be fully reset once per playthrough. This means committing heavily to Body early on carries more weight, so plan accordingly to avoid having to live with a suboptimal build for a long stretch.

The Body attribute links directly to the Solo passive skill track, which grows purely through in-combat use of Body abilities. Actions like punching, tanking damage, or charging enemies contribute to leveling up Solo, capped at level 60. Along the way, you receive passive perks and rewards without needing to manage this track explicitly. Some of the Solo skill milestones to watch for include: Level 5: +50 Carrying Capacity Level 10: +10 Health Level 15: Increased damage and attack speed with Fists and Gorilla Arms, plus chance to inflict Bleeding Level 20: +100 Carrying Capacity Level 25: +15 Health Level 30 & 35: Each awards +1 Perk Point Level 40: +10% Critical Chance against enemies within 5 meters Level 45: +25% damage with Strong Attacks and Quick Melee Attacks Level 50: +25% Health restored after a Finisher Level 55: Slower Adrenaline decay and higher minimum Adrenaline during Adrenaline Rush Level 60: Enhanced Finisher effects and longer activation for Berserk cyberware

Separate from the perk tree, Body has its own experience track called Solo, which levels up just from using Body-related abilities in combat.

You can punch things, tank hits, sprint into gunfights, that kind of thing. Solo caps at level 60 and hands out passive bonuses along the way, including two free Perk Points at levels 30 and 35. The milestones worth flagging:

  • Level 5: +50 Carrying Capacity
  • Level 10: +10 Health
  • Level 15: Fists and Gorilla Arms deal +20% damage and attack 20% faster, plus a chance to inflict Bleeding with Fists
  • Level 20: +100 Carrying Capacity
  • Level 25: +15 Health
  • Level 30 / 35: +1 Perk Point each
  • Level 40: +10% Crit Chance against enemies within 5 meters
  • Level 45: +25% damage with Strong Attacks and Quick Melee Attacks
  • Level 50: +25% Health restored after landing a Finisher
  • Level 55: Adrenaline decays 50% slower during Adrenaline Rush and can’t drop 10% below
  • Level 60: While Berserk (the cyberware) is active: +30% enemy Health threshold for Finishers, +50% Health gained from Finishers, +30% longer Berserk duration

You don’t manage this tree yourself. It just happens while you play, which makes it easy to forget it’s there until you suddenly notice your carry weight went up.
