From the moment Cai steps into the Heroic Games in Dagison, his childhood friend Peter stands out as a rare archer among the cast. Players eager to bolster their squads in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave often target Peter for his unique long-range abilities. Securing this elusive ally can shape your strategy, especially since archers are in such short supply across all routes.

How to Recruit Peter in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave

Peter’s recruitment isn’t a one-size-fits-all affair—it changes depending on which protagonist you play as. This design ensures that each route offers a fresh experience, with unique requirements to bring Peter onto your team. Here’s what you need to know for all four routes.

Route Support Requirement Renown Requirement Special Requirement
Cai Story Recruitment Story Recruitment Story Recruitment
Leda 3 10 Clear the “Peter’s Request” Side Quest
Theodora 3 7 Clear the “Peter’s Request” Side Quest
Dietrich 3 9 Clear the “Peter’s Request” Side Quest

While Peter joins as part of the storyline with Cai, the other protagonists have to put in effort. Theodora can recruit him by mid-route, though Leda and Dietrich must wait until their storylines near the end. To build support quickly, make sure to invite Peter to feasts and theater events and gift him items like Coffee Pastries to win his favor.

Once you hit the required Support and Renown levels, a side quest titled “Peter’s Request” activates. This quest involves retrieving a unique item known as the Phantom Ginji. Don’t worry, it’s not some random rare collectible but a quest-specific item that you’ll find without hassle.

The Phantom Ginji is located at Mount Aegina, on the continent’s eastern side. Use the search feature there, and you’ll receive the item immediately—no luck required. Bring it back to Peter to complete the quest and secure his place in your party.

Peter’s personal ability adds a valuable edge: when wielding a bow, his attack range increases by one. This makes him a formidable sniper and a smart choice for keeping enemies at bay from a safe distance.
