The Shop Assistant is one of the most useful upgrades you can unlock in Storage Hunters Open World. Instead of manually accepting or rejecting every customer offer, the assistant automatically handles sales based on the profit settings you choose.

If you plan on running your shop while continuing to hunt for storage units, hiring a Shop Assistant is highly recommended.

How to Get the Shop Assistant in Storage Hunters

Normally, whenever an NPC customer visits your shop, you’ll need to decide whether to accept or decline their offer.

The Shop Assistant automates this process by:

  • Automatically reviewing customer offers.
  • Accepting sales that meet your minimum profit requirement.
  • Rejecting offers that are too low.
  • Allowing you to continue exploring and bidding instead of waiting in your shop.

This makes selling items much more efficient, especially once your shop is stocked with dozens of items.

How to Unlock the Shop Assistant

Getting the Shop Assistant is simple.

  1. Go to your shop.
  2. Look at the right side of your screen.
  3. Click the Person icon located above the Shopping Cart icon.
  4. Select Hire Shop Assistant.
  5. Pay 100 Diamonds to unlock it.

Once purchased, the assistant will begin managing customer offers according to your settings.

Best Shop Assistant Settings

The most important option is Minimum Profit.

A good starting point is:

Minimum Profit: 20%

This setting offers a good balance between making profits and keeping inventory moving.

If you set it too high

  • Fewer customers will meet your requirements.
  • Items may remain unsold for long periods.
  • Your shop inventory can become full.

If you set it too low

  • Items will sell more quickly.
  • However, you’ll earn less profit on each sale.
  • Expensive collectibles may be sold for less than they’re worth.

For most players, 20% is a solid default setting that provides consistent sales without sacrificing too much profit.

The Shop Assistant is one of the best quality-of-life upgrades in Storage Hunters Open World. For just 100 Diamonds, it automates customer transactions, saves time, and lets you continue hunting for valuable storage finds while your shop generates income in the background. If you plan to spend a lot of time trading and selling items, it’s an upgrade well worth unlocking early.
