The Solar Flare is one of the newest and most talked-about unlocks in Wizard Alchemy right now, and a lot of players are confused because the game barely explains how to actually obtain it. The process involves finding hidden fragments around the Sea of Oblivion, completing a special quest, and defeating one of the hardest enemies in the update.

If you have been running around the new island wondering where the fragments are or how players are getting the Solar Flare so quickly, this guide will walk you through every step in simple English.

You Need All Four Fragments

To unlock the Solar Flare, you need to collect four separate fragments hidden around the Sea of Oblivion update area.

Some of them are easy collectibles hidden around the map, while others require defeating powerful enemies and completing quests.

Before starting, make sure you already have:

  • Access to the Sea of Oblivion
  • A flying broom
  • Decent gear or potions
  • Enough damage to fight mutated enemies

The later fragments are much harder than the first ones.

First Fragment Location

The first fragment is actually one of the easiest to obtain.

When you first spawn into the Sea of Oblivion, look near the large statue area. The fragment is hidden higher up near the statue structure itself.

You can either:

  • Parkour your way upward
  • Use your broom to fly directly there

Using the broom is honestly much easier and saves time.

Once you reach the location, interact with the fragment by pressing the interaction key, and you will collect the first Solar Flare fragment.

Second Fragment Location

The second fragment is hidden near the regular waterfall area.

This is important because many players accidentally search around the lava waterfalls instead, which wastes a lot of time.

Go toward the normal water waterfall area on the island. Once you arrive there, check behind the large pillar on the right side of the waterfall.

The fragment is hidden behind the pillar and can be easy to miss if you fly past too quickly.

Interact with it to claim your second fragment.

Third Fragment Quest

The third fragment is where the process becomes more difficult.

You first need to find a strange flickering NPC somewhere in the Sea of Oblivion. When you talk to him, he gives you a special quest asking you to defeat a powerful mutated enemy called the Mutant Iron Axe Orc.

After accepting the quest, head past the normal waterfall area and continue toward the island where the axe enemy spawns.

Be careful here because there are actually two powerful enemy islands:

  • One contains the axe enemy
  • The other contains a magic-based enemy

You specifically want the axe enemy island for this fragment.

Easy Mutant Iron Axe Orc Farming Strategy

The Mutant Iron Axe Orc hits very hard, especially for newer players. Thankfully, there is a safer method players are already using.

Near the enemy arena, there is a higher ledge you can climb onto. From this elevated spot, you can safely attack the boss while avoiding many direct attacks.

The fight still takes some time because the enemy has a huge amount of HP, but the strategy makes things much safer.

After defeating the mutant axe enemy:

  • Collect the drops
  • Return to the flickering NPC
  • Turn in the quest

Once completed, the NPC rewards you with the third Solar Flare fragment.

Fourth Fragment and Boss Fight

The final fragment comes from defeating the new boss in the Sea of Oblivion lava area.

This boss can be difficult if you try fighting normally, but players already found a strong cheese strategy that makes the fight much easier.

Easy Boss Cheese Spot

Inside the boss arena, there is a pedestal near the corner of the area.

The trick is to lure the boss near this spot and stand on top of the pedestal. From there, you can safely damage the boss while avoiding many attacks.

However, there is one important mechanic you absolutely need to learn.

Parrying the Boulder Attack

The boss throws a massive boulder projectile that deals extremely high damage.

You need to parry this attack properly or you will probably die very quickly.

The best timing is:

  • Wait for the boss to pull the boulder backward
  • Parry right before he throws it forward

Once you learn the timing, the fight becomes much easier.

After defeating the boss, you should finally receive the last Solar Flare fragment.

Where Does the Solar Flare Go?

One thing currently confusing many players is that the game does not clearly explain where the Solar Flare appears after unlocking it.

Some players report that it automatically unlocks internally, while others struggle to find it in their inventory. The system still feels a little unfinished right now, so don’t panic if you do not immediately see a visible item pop up after completing the process.

As long as you completed all fragment requirements and defeated the boss correctly, you should have unlocked it.

Tips Before Farming the Solar Flare

The Solar Flare grind can be rough if you go in underprepared, so here are a few useful tips that help a lot:

  • Bring healing potions before boss fights
  • Use the broom to travel faster between fragment locations
  • Learn parry timing early
  • Use elevated safe spots whenever possible
  • Farm stronger potions before attempting the final boss
  • Don’t accidentally fight the wrong mutant island enemy

The later parts of the quest are clearly balanced around stronger players, so taking your time is completely normal.

Getting the Solar Flare in Wizard Alchemy takes some exploration, quest grinding, and boss farming, but it is one of the coolest progression goals added in the new update.

The fragment hunt itself is actually pretty fun once you know where everything is located, and the boss strategies make the difficult fights much more manageable. If you were confused about how players were unlocking the Solar Flare already, now you know the full process from start to finish.
