Here’s everything you need to evolve Mudbud into Thornlord, along with the best Natures and Traits to use.

How to Get Thornlord in Evomon

Thornlord cannot be caught directly in the wild. Instead, you’ll need to evolve Mudbud using specific evolution materials.

Thornlord Evolution Requirements

To evolve Mudbud into Thornlord, you’ll need:

  • 30 Evolution Stones
  • 15 Ground Element Stones
  • 15 Grass Element Stones

Once you’ve collected all the required materials, use them on Mudbud to evolve it into Thornlord.

Where to Find Mudbud

Before you can evolve Thornlord, you’ll first need to catch Mudbud.

Mudbud can be found in:

  • Amber Acres

After catching one, you can begin collecting the materials needed for its evolution.

How to Get Evolution Stones

You’ll need 30 Evolution Stones in total.

These can be obtained from several sources:

  • Traveler Merchant Shops
  • Summon Shops
  • First-time rewards for defeating NPC Trainers

Because multiple sources provide Evolution Stones, you can gradually collect them while progressing through the game.

How to Get Ground Element Stones

You’ll need 15 Ground Element Stones.

They can be obtained by:

  • Defeating the Rocky Ridge Island Boss
  • Exploring Summon Ruins
  • Earning first-time rewards from NPC Trainers

If you’re actively clearing islands, you’ll naturally collect these over time.

How to Get Grass Element Stones

To complete the evolution, you’ll also need 15 Grass Element Stones.

These are available from:

  • Defeating the Amber Acres Island Boss
  • Exploring Summon Ruins
  • First-time NPC Trainer rewards

Farming the Amber Acres boss is generally the most reliable method if you’re missing a few stones.

Best Nature for Thornlord

Thornlord can be built in several different ways depending on your team composition.

Here are the recommended Natures:

NatureEffect
Quiet+10% Special Attack, -10% Speed
Relaxed+10% Defense, -10% Speed
Brave+10% Attack, -10% Speed
Sassy+10% Special Defense, -10% Speed
Steady+10% HP, -10% Speed

If you’re building Thornlord as an offensive attacker, Brave or Quiet are excellent choices. For a bulkier setup, Relaxed, Sassy, or Steady work well.

Best Traits for Thornlord

The following Traits are considered the strongest options for Thornlord.

Drain

  • Grants 18% permanent Lifesteal.
  • Excellent for improving survivability during longer battles.

Reaper

  • Increases both Attack and Special Attack by five stages after defeating an opponent.
  • Great for sweeping through multiple enemies once Thornlord secures a knockout.

Battle Spirit

  • Raises Attack and Special Attack by three stages the first time Thornlord enters battle.
  • Provides an immediate power boost and is useful for aggressive playstyles.

Is Thornlord Worth Getting?

Thornlord is a solid evolution for players who want a durable yet hard-hitting Evomon. Its recommended Natures allow you to specialize in either physical damage, special damage, or defensive play, while Traits like Drain and Reaper make it increasingly dangerous during longer fights.

Although gathering the required evolution materials takes some time, most of them are earned naturally by defeating bosses, clearing NPC Trainers, and visiting shops, so you can work toward the evolution as you progress through the game.

Evolving Mudbud into Thornlord requires 30 Evolution Stones, 15 Ground Element Stones, and 15 Grass Element Stones, all of which can be obtained from merchants, bosses, Summon Ruins, and NPC Trainers. Once evolved, Thornlord becomes a versatile addition to your roster with several strong Nature and Trait combinations.

If you’re planning to use Thornlord regularly, aim for Brave or Quiet for higher damage output, or choose Drain as your Trait if you prefer a more sustainable playstyle during longer battles.
