The Wild Hunt has arrived in Legacy Piece as part of a smaller update before the upcoming Devil May Cry content. While the update adds some useful interface changes, the main attraction is the new Wild Hunt weapon and its long questline.
Getting Wild Hunt is not a quick process. You will need to collect memories, farm souls, complete boss challenges, gather fishing materials, clear a difficult mini-game, and eventually enter a dangerous portal. This Legacy Piece Wild Hunt guide covers the full process in order so you can avoid unnecessary backtracking.
- Legacy Piece Codes
The adventure kicks off on Graveyard Island where the Wild Hunt NPC waits to set you on this path. This character not only assigns the quests but also guides your progression, ensuring you don’t lose track of the sprawling requirements ahead. It’s crucial to be prepared here, as the difficulty spikes toward the quest’s conclusion, potentially requiring assistance.
Your Wild Hunt journey starts at the Graveyard Island, where you can find the Wild Hunt NPC. This character gives you the quests required to unlock the weapon and explains the next objective as you progress.
Before starting, it is worth checking your inventory and making sure your character is strong enough for the later stages. The early quests are manageable, but the final parts become much harder and may require help from other players.
The update also introduces changes to the user interface, including a refreshed health display and a new skill interface. These changes make the new content easier to follow while you work through the Wild Hunt questline.
Collect Four Memories
Your first main task is tracking down four scattered memories, each locked away on different islands. These are Legacy Island, Jujutsu Island, Hollow Island, and Seventh Company Island. Keep your quest tab handy to navigate between them and secure all memories before moving forward, as you’ll need every one for later stages.
The four islands involved in this part of the quest are:
- Legacy Island
- Jujutsu Island
- Hollow Island
- Seventh Company Island
You will need to visit each island and collect its required memory. Make sure you finish all four before moving forward, as these items will be needed again later in the questline.
Farm 1,000 Souls
Next up is a rather intimidating soul collection phase, demanding 1,000 souls harvested through various combat activities. Instead of grinding aimlessly, prioritize defeating the level 25,000 bosses 25 times which alone can yield nearly half your total soul count. Incorporate global and world bosses along with contract completions to tick off other objectives simultaneously.
The soul rewards include:
- Global Boss: 200 Souls
- Level 25,000 Boss: 20 Souls
- Legendary Contract: 25 Souls
- Mythic Contract: 30 Souls
You need a total of 1,000 souls for this part. You also have several additional objectives to complete, including defeating level 25,000 bosses 25 times, clearing Index or Time Save five times, defeating a Global or World Boss, and completing contracts.
The level 25,000 boss requirement is especially useful because 25 defeats can give you close to 500 souls by themselves. Because of that, you can make solid progress toward the 1,000-soul requirement while completing the other objectives instead of focusing entirely on soul farming.
Complete the Coffin Escort Challenge
With souls secured, prepare for the coffin escort challenge found near the Wild Hunt NPC. You’ll need steady nerves and keen footwork, steering clear of red danger zones and the fearsome Dullahan enemies on later maps. Luckily, progress saves at each checkpoint, sparing you from retreading the entire path upon failure.
This starts another challenge where you need to transport the coffin through a marked route. The important part is avoiding damage while following the path. Red circles will appear in the early maps, and stepping into them can cause problems.
The challenge eventually becomes more difficult. On the third and fourth islands, you also need to watch out for Dullahan, which is indicated by a red line.
There is some good news here: your progress is saved. If you fail on a particular map, you do not have to repeat every previous section. You can continue from the stage where you failed, which makes this long challenge much less frustrating.
Get the Pearl
To progress, obtaining the Pearl is essential. You can either patiently fish—guaranteed after 1,000 catches—or take a more aggressive approach by defeating Dullahan 25 times. If your character’s combat aptitude allows, the latter often proves faster than fishing.
The first option is AFK fishing. The Pearl is guaranteed after reaching 1,000 catches, making this a slower but reliable method if you are already planning to fish for other materials.
The second option is defeating Dullahan 25 times. Dullahan can be found near the Wild Hunt NPC on Graveyard Island, so you can repeatedly fight the boss to work toward the Pearl requirement.
Choose whichever method fits your build and available time. If your character can defeat Dullahan quickly, boss farming may be considerably faster than waiting through a large number of fishing catches.
Gather Tidal Silk and Sea Glass
Gathering Tidal Silk and Sea Glass now becomes imperative. The Wandering NPC on Seventh Company Island demands these alongside the Pearl and your collected memories. Given fishing’s dual utility here—for both materials and the Pearl—it’s smart to combine efforts and minimize downtime.
You need:
- Pearl
- Four Memories
- Tidal Silk
- Sea Glass
Tidal Silk and Sea Glass can be obtained through fishing. Because fishing is involved in this part of the quest, you may want to collect these materials while working toward the Pearl rather than treating every requirement as a completely separate grind.
After gathering everything, you can begin crafting the required item.
Complete the Crafting Mini-Game
Crafting requires mastering a tricky rhythm mini-game with just three lives to spare. Precision timing is your ally, especially if you switch to keyboard inputs using the Z and C keys for better control. Failures cost extra Tidal Silk and Sea Glass but won’t strip you of your precious Pearl or memories, encouraging a patient, practiced approach.
Using a mouse can make the challenge harder because you need fairly precise timing. Keyboard controls can be easier to manage, especially when using the Z and C keys at the correct moments.
If you fail, there is still some good news. Your Pearl and Memories are not lost. However, another attempt requires additional Tidal Silk and Sea Glass, so repeated failures can quickly become expensive.
Take your time during this section rather than trying to rush through it. Getting familiar with the timing is much better than repeatedly wasting your fishing materials.
Complete Every MK Boss
After crafting, the quest demands defeating every MK boss and their reflections. Follow the quest’s suggested order carefully — jumping about could cause confusion and missed progress. Choose the easiest difficulty you can reliably complete to streamline this marathon fight sequence.
You will be given a large list of bosses that need to be defeated. The bosses can be fought on any difficulty, so use the difficulty that you can clear most comfortably.
After defeating each boss, a reflection will appear that also needs to be defeated. Because the sequence may matter, it is safer to follow the order shown by the quest instead of randomly jumping between bosses.
Go through the list one by one and make sure every required boss and its reflection have been defeated before returning to the Wild Hunt NPC.
Enter the Wild Hunt Portal
At last, the Wild Hunt Portal opens once all MK bosses are defeated. Inside, expect far more formidable foes, so bringing friends for backup can make the difference between triumph and defeat. Solo players must ensure their build balances damage output and survivability before attempting this daunting challenge.
The portal allows you to bring up to three additional players with you. This can be extremely useful because the enemies inside are much more dangerous than the earlier quest objectives.
If your build is not strong enough to handle the content alone, find experienced players who can help carry the run. Going into the portal with an underpowered build can result in a very difficult fight.
For solo players, make sure your damage, survivability, and overall build are ready before attempting this stage.
Complete the Final Wild Hunt Requirements
The quest doesn’t conclude immediately after portal completion. Additional materials and a title drop are needed to finalize the Wild Hunt weapon. Always consult the Wild Hunt NPC for precise requirements tailored to your current progression to avoid wasting resources.
The exact requirements can be checked directly through the Wild Hunt NPC. Since these requirements can depend on your current quest progress, always use the NPC as your checklist before spending resources.
Once everything has been collected, you can finally complete the required process and obtain access to the Wild Hunt weapon.
Wild Hunt Weapon Build and Dullahan Mode
The Wild Hunt weapon itself is a prize worth every ounce of effort, boasting powerful base stats and unlocking the visually and mechanically impressive Dullahan Mode after investing in its passive system. This form not only enhances damage but adds a striking new aesthetic, making the exhaustive journey feel thoroughly rewarding.
The weapon already has strong damage in its base state, while Dullahan Mode gives it another level of power and visual flair. This makes the extremely long questline feel more worthwhile once you finally reach the end.
