Getting stuck in the queue is one of the most common issues players experience during Mistfall Hunter’s beta and launch periods. You may notice the queue stops progressing at numbers like 2, 6, 7, 18, 23, 27, 69, or any other position without moving for several minutes.
In most cases, this isn’t caused by your PC. Instead, it’s usually related to server congestion, login authentication, or the game client failing to complete the connection process.
Fortunately, there are several simple fixes that have helped many players get into the game.
Why the Queue Gets Stuck
During busy periods, Mistfall Hunter’s servers can become overloaded as thousands of players attempt to log in at the same time.
Sometimes your client loses synchronization with the login server, while in other cases a required confirmation screen doesn’t appear until you cancel the queue.
Because of this, being stuck at a specific queue number doesn’t necessarily mean the server has crashed—it often means your client simply isn’t progressing correctly.
Cancel the Queue and Accept the Terms
One of the most successful fixes is surprisingly simple.
If your queue has been frozen for several minutes, click Cancel Queue instead of waiting indefinitely.
Some players have reported being stuck for five minutes or longer before cancelling the queue. After doing so, the game immediately displayed a Terms and Conditions or Accept Terms screen that had never appeared while waiting.
Once the terms were accepted, they were able to enter the game normally.
If you haven’t accepted the latest agreement yet, this is the first solution you should try.
Steps
- Wait a few minutes to confirm the queue isn’t moving.
- Select Cancel Queue.
- Check whether the Terms and Conditions window appears.
- Accept the agreement.
- Join the queue again.
If this was the issue, you should be able to connect normally afterwards.
Restart the Game
If cancelling the queue doesn’t solve the problem, completely restart Mistfall Hunter.
Sometimes the client simply fails to establish a proper connection with the matchmaking servers.
Closing the game and launching it again forces the client to reconnect from the beginning, which may resolve the issue.
Make sure the game has fully closed before opening it again.
Restart Your Computer
If restarting the game isn’t enough, try restarting your PC.
Although this sounds like a basic troubleshooting step, restarting Windows clears temporary networking problems and ensures every game service starts fresh.
After your computer finishes rebooting:
- Launch Steam.
- Start Mistfall Hunter.
- Join the queue again.
This also ensures no background processes from a previous game session remain active.
Relaunch the Game Multiple Times
Server issues during launch periods can be inconsistent.
If the first restart doesn’t work, don’t assume nothing will change.
Many players have successfully entered the game after reopening it several times.
The process is simple:
- Close the game.
- Launch it again.
- If it still gets stuck, close it once more.
- Repeat the process several times.
It may take multiple attempts before the client successfully connects to the login server.
While this isn’t an ideal solution, it has worked for many players during periods of heavy server traffic.
Be Patient During Peak Hours
If none of the above fixes work, the problem may simply be server congestion.
During beta launches, updates, or major events, login servers often experience extremely high traffic.
If the queue continues to freeze despite restarting the game, it’s worth waiting a little while before trying again.
Logging in outside peak hours can also improve your chances of getting through the queue without issues.
Check for Server Problems
If a large number of players are reporting the same issue, the servers may be experiencing an outage or heavy load.
Before spending too much time troubleshooting your own PC, check the game’s official social channels or community Discord for announcements regarding server maintenance or login issues.
If the problem is server-side, you’ll simply need to wait until the developers resolve it.
Additional Tips
If you’re still unable to get past the queue, these general troubleshooting steps may also help:
- Verify the integrity of the game files through Steam.
- Make sure Steam is running in Online Mode.
- Close unnecessary background applications.
- Restart your internet router if your connection has been unstable.
- Ensure your firewall or antivirus isn’t blocking the game.
While these aren’t guaranteed fixes for queue issues, they can eliminate other connection-related problems.
Most Mistfall Hunter queue problems are caused by temporary server congestion rather than issues with your computer. The quickest solutions are to cancel the queue and check for the Terms and Conditions prompt, restart the game, reboot your PC, and try launching the game multiple times. If none of these methods work, the issue is likely on the server side, and waiting for the developers to stabilize the servers is usually the only option.
As the game continues to receive updates, server stability should improve, making long queue delays and stuck login screens much less common.
