Paranoize Beginner Guide – Gems, Levelling, Team Build

If you just started Paranoize and feel like you’re doing “okay” but not really progressing fast… yeah, that’s exactly where most players get stuck.

The game doesn’t explain much, and early mistakes don’t hurt immediately — but they will slow you down later.

So instead of overcomplicating things, I’m going to walk you through what actually matters early on, based on real high-rank experience. Think of this like someone saving you from the mistakes most players make in their first few days.

Gem Usage – The One Thing You Should Always Do

Let’s start with the biggest early advantage most players overlook.

There’s a system (in the special section) where you can invest gems and get a return — usually around 1.4x to 1.8x back.

And honestly?
It’s basically free gems.

There’s no real downside, so there’s no reason to skip it. Make this a habit early and it stacks up quickly.

Important Warning (If You Spend Money)

The game uses:

• Paid gems first
• Then free gems

This matters because:

• Some banners require paid gems only

So if you’re spending, always:

• Use paid gems on paid-only banners first
• Don’t accidentally waste them elsewhere

Free Gems Trick Most Players Miss

If you skipped story or read it manually, go back.

Not for the story — for the rewards.

• Replay story episodes
• Put it on 2x speed
• Let it run in the background

You’ll get:

• A few thousand gems (easy)

It’s one of those things people ignore early and regret later.

Leveling Strategy – Don’t Waste Resources Early

This is where most accounts fall behind.

You start with an SR unit, and it’s tempting to invest heavily into it… but don’t.

What You Should Do Instead:

• Stop your starter SR around level 50
• Get an SSR as soon as possible
• Dump all your resources into that SSR

Why?

Because resources become scarce very quickly.
If you spread them across weak units, you’ll feel stuck.

One Strong Unit > Multiple Average Units

From higher-rank players’ experience:

• Accounts with one overleveled unit perform better
• Compared to players with multiple mid-level characters

It might feel wrong at first, but it works.

Camp Training – Free Daily Boost (Don’t Miss This)

Once you unlock the camp, there’s something very easy to overlook.

Inside the gem training section:

• The first training is actually free daily

A lot of players never notice this.

Use it every day, especially early:

• It gives bonus resources (like apples)
• Helps progression more than you’d expect

Team Strategy – The “Cannon Fodder” Trick

This is probably the most interesting strategy from high-level players.

Most people:

• Put their strongest team in the first squad

But that’s not always optimal.

Better Strategy:

• Put weak units (cannon fodder) in Squad 1
• Put your strong team in Squad 2 or 3

Why This Works:

• Enemy uses abilities on your weak units
• Their cooldowns get wasted
• Your strong team enters while enemies are vulnerable

Even better if your weak units:

• Apply debuffs
• Or have effects like stun on death

It turns your weakest units into setup tools.

PvP Tip – Always Scout Before Fighting

Before attacking someone in PvP:

• Check their team setup

If they’re using the same strategy:

• Adjust your first squad

Example:

• Put a slightly stronger unit in Squad 1
• So you don’t get wiped instantly

Small adjustments like this can win fights you’d normally lose.

Ruins Mode – RNG Is Your Best Friend

Some stages will feel impossible.

Here’s the thing:

Battles are not fully deterministic.

That means:

• You can retry
• And win through RNG

Even bad matchups can eventually succeed.

So don’t give up too early — just retry.

PvP Climbing Trick (Very Useful)

You can refresh your opponent list infinitely.

Use that.

If everyone looks too strong:

• Refresh until you find weaker players

You’d be surprised how many low-power players sit at higher ranks just because nobody attacks them.

Guild System – Join One ASAP

This is not optional if you want to progress faster.

Guild benefits:

• Extra gems (fishing, rewards)
• Raid support
• Team coordination

Raid Tip (Very Important)

Your raid power scales with members:

• 3 members = 3x power

So playing with others is a huge advantage.

XP Optimization Trick

First-time raid clears give bonus XP.

Sometimes:

• Lower-tier raids with bonus XP
  → give more value than higher-tier repeats

So don’t always rush the highest difficulty.

Small But Important Tips

These might seem minor, but they matter:

• Adjust notifications (they get annoying fast)
• Ignore random Discord messages (likely bots)
