If you are struggling with the Master Wrangler achievement in Voidling Bound, the main challenge is usually getting the third star on missions fast enough. Speedrunning is not easy when you are still getting used to the movement and platforming, but the right build can make a huge difference.

In this guide, I’ll show you the Anami build that can make the achievement much easier. The main focus is speed, with perks, Catalyzers, and abilities chosen to help you move through missions as quickly as possible.

I’ll also cover the final mission, End of the Unknown, because there is a section there where you can save time by skipping the normal platforming route.

Voidling Bound Master Wrangler Achievement Guide

For this build, we will use Anami.

The idea is to make Anami as fast as possible while still having enough damage to quickly clear enemies along the way. You do not need to copy every part of the build exactly, but having extra Agility and movement speed makes the biggest difference.

One thing to remember is that this is a very fast build. If you are not used to moving at high speed, it can take a few attempts before everything feels comfortable.

Best Nature for the Speed Build

The nature used for this build is Spry, which provides:

  • Agility
  • Health

The most important part here is the Agility bonus.

If you do not have Spry, another nature that provides Agility should still work. The goal is to increase your movement speed rather than specifically chasing one particular nature.

Best Splicing Modules

For the splicing setup, use Slick Ears because it provides +Agility.

The other three modules are much less important for this particular build because they do not provide additional Agility.

The setup used in the original build was:

  • Slick Ears
  • Tufty Tail
  • Back Hair
  • Wise Mask

You can change the last three depending on what you have available. Slick Ears is the important one because Agility is what we are building around.

Best Attacks

For attacks, the recommended setup is:

  • Plasma element
  • Bouncing Shock as the primary attack
  • Psionic Beam as the secondary attack

The exact attacks are not as important as the movement setup, provided you can kill enemies quickly.

You do not want to spend too much time fighting during a speedrun, so choose attacks that let you clear anything blocking your path without slowing down too much.

Alternative: Bleed Build

The newer Neutral element option may provide an even stronger setup for this achievement.

You can build around Bleed and use the Fatal Wound perk, which executes enemies once they fall below 50% HP.

This can be especially useful for the boss fight because it can reduce the amount of time you need to spend damaging the boss normally.

If you already have a strong Bleed build, it is worth testing this instead of the Plasma setup.

Best Perks

The recommended perks for this build are:

Soothing Voyage

Soothing Voyage comes from Kwipeck.

This perk is not the main reason the build works, and you may find that you barely need it. It can still provide some extra utility during a run.

Super Speed

Super Speed from Anami is the most important perk in this setup.

This is what really pushes the movement speed of the build. Combined with your Agility and Speed Catalyzers, it allows you to move through missions extremely quickly.

If you are trying to copy this build, Super Speed should be one of your main priorities.

Frenzied

The final recommended perk is Frenzied, also from Kwipeck.

It may stack with Super Speed, although the exact effect can be difficult to notice when your movement speed is already extremely high.

Even if the interaction is not giving you as much as expected, the perk can still be used as part of the setup.

Best Catalyzers

For the Catalyzers, the build focuses heavily on movement speed.

The recommended setup is:

  • Speed
  • Fast Metabolism
  • Speed Demon
  • Max Health — optional
  • Peak Performance — optional

The three most important choices are the ones focused on speed and maintaining your momentum.

Max Health and Peak Performance are optional, so you can replace them if you have other Catalyzers that better fit your setup.

How to Use the Build

The main thing to remember is that you are building for time, not for maximum combat power.

Move through the level as quickly as possible and only spend time fighting enemies when they are blocking your progress or when killing them is necessary to continue.

Your high movement speed lets you get through sections before enemies have much of a chance to slow you down.

At first, the speed can actually make the build harder to control. You may run past jumps, overshoot platforms, or accidentally move into hazards.

So do not be surprised if your first attempt is messy.

Once you get used to the movement speed, the same build becomes much easier to control.

Master Wrangler: End of the Unknown Shortcut

The final mission, End of the Unknown, can be particularly annoying because of its platforming section.

There is a gorge where you normally need to hit the blobs along the sides.

Doing this causes leaves to appear, which you can then use to platform across the gap.

With the speed build, however, you can potentially skip this entire section.

How to Cross the Gorge Quickly

If your Cerebrum Enhancer dash is fully upgraded, you can use your movement speed to jump and dash across the gorge.

Instead of stopping to hit the blobs and create the leaves, run toward the gap at full speed and use your jump followed by your dash to cross it.

This can save several seconds.

More importantly, it can save even more time if you struggle with the normal platforming route. At this movement speed, carefully jumping across the leaves can be surprisingly difficult.

If you keep falling during this section, the shortcut may be worth practicing.

Turn Off Auto Sprint if You Are Struggling

The speed build can feel especially difficult when Auto Sprint is enabled.

If you are having trouble with the platforming in End of the Unknown, try disabling Auto Sprint temporarily.

This gives you more control over your movement and can make the final platforming section easier to manage.

Once you are comfortable with the route, you can turn it back on if you prefer.
