In Heartopia, animals aren’t just decorative. You can befriend them by feeding them their favorite foods, raising your bond level, and unlocking new interactions over time. The most important part of this system is finding each animal’s feeding trough, since that’s the only place where feeding and bonding happens.

Animal Favorite Foods
- Alpaca: Blueberry, wheat, lettuce
- Capybara: Tomato, raspberry, strawberry
- Ferret: Egg, sea bass, goby
- Fox: Meat, European perch, largemouth bass
- Panda: Apple, bamboo, corn
- Sea Otter: Common shrimp, oriental shrimp, mussels
- Sika Deer: Branch, lettuce, house salad
- Bunny: Weed, carrot, strawberry
Feeding animals their favorite foods is the fastest way to raise bond levels.
Panda
Location
The panda’s feeding trough is located directly in front of Houseplot 12. If you’re standing at the house plot, the trough is immediately nearby and hard to miss once you’re in the right spot.
Favorite Foods
- Apple
- Bamboo
As your bond increases, you’ll unlock interactions and photo opportunities with the panda.
Capybara
Location
The Capybara’s feeding trough is near the Onsen mountain lake area. It’s easiest to reach by using the bus and following the paths shown on the map from the nearest stop.
Favorite Foods
- Tomato
- Raspberry
The Capybara is one of the easier animals to reach once you’re familiar with the Onsen area.
Bunny
Location
The Bunny’s feeding trough is located between Houseplot 2 and the nearby bus stop. The bus stop is the best reference point if you’re having trouble finding it.
Favorite Foods
- Carrot
- Weed
This is usually one of the first animals players discover due to its proximity to housing areas.
Fox
Location
The Fox’s feeding trough can be found near Meadow Lake, close to the bus stop. From the bus stop, follow the path shown on the map to reach the trough.
Favorite Foods
- Meat
- European perch
The fox area is fairly open, so visibility is good once you’re nearby.
Sea Otter
Location
The Sea Otter’s feeding trough is located just south of the Fishing Village Square, right along the water’s edge.
Favorite Foods
- Common shrimp
- Oriental shrimp
This trough is easy to spot if you follow the shoreline.
Ferret
Location
To find the Ferret’s feeding trough:
- Cross the bridge southwest of the Onsen region
- Head toward Rosy River
- Just south of the bridge, you’ll find the trough
Favorite Foods
- Egg
- Sea bass
This area is slightly off the main path, so it’s easy to miss without knowing where to look.
Sika Deer
Location
The Sika Deer’s feeding trough is located just north of the bus stop in the Spirit Oak Pine Forest.
Favorite Foods
- Branch
- Lettuce
- House salad
This trough is very close to the bus stop once you enter the forest.
Alpaca
Location
The Alpaca’s feeding trough is found just west of the bridge that connects the Lighthouse area to Purple Light Beach.
Favorite Foods
- Blueberry
- Wheat
- Lettuce
This is one of the more scenic animal locations and easy to reach once you unlock the area.
How to Unlock Animal Interactions
If you can see animals but can’t interact with or feed them yet, you need to unlock the animal system first.
To do this:
- Open your watch
- Go to Town Guides
- Select and complete the Animal Guide
Once completed:
- A new Animals icon appears on your watch
- You can view animal info, track them, and interact properly
