Weapons in Duet Night Abyss do far more than inflate stats. The best weapons actively reshape how characters play by extending skill uptime, amplifying skill damage, or enabling mechanics that would otherwise be impossible. Because of this, weapon value is judged by impact on gameplay, not raw numbers alone.
This tier list reflects Version 1.1 balance, including new additions and changes introduced alongside Kezhou and the second half of the update.
How This Weapon Tier List Is Ranked
Weapons are ranked using the following criteria:
- Skill Damage and Skill Uptime contribution
- Universal usefulness across multiple characters
- Synergy with Demon Wedges and infliction mechanics
- Performance in boss fights and mob-heavy content
- Ease of integration without extreme investment
Weapons that only work for one specific character are ranked lower unless their payoff is exceptional.
SS Tier – Meta-Defining Weapons
These weapons fundamentally outperform alternatives. They slot into most builds effortlessly and scale extremely well into endgame content.
S Tier – Excellent Weapons
Very powerful and reliable weapons that clear all content comfortably, but with slightly narrower use cases than SS-tier options.
A Tier – Strong With Investment
Weapons that become competitive once paired with the right Demon Wedges or characters, but are not universally dominant.
B Tier – Situational Picks
Usable and sometimes strong, but outclassed in most scenarios. Best used when lacking higher-tier options.
C Tier – Niche or Underwhelming
Weapons with awkward mechanics, weak scaling, or overly narrow use cases.
SS Tier Weapons (Best in the Game)
Wanewraith (Melee)
Wanewraith defines the melee weapon meta. Its massive Skill Damage amplification and flexible polearm mechanics allow characters to weave skills and ranged attacks without sacrificing melee pressure. It performs exceptionally well on nearly every DPS or hybrid character.
This is the safest and strongest melee weapon investment in Version 1.1.
Halcyon Gracefall (Melee)
Halcyon Gracefall enters the game at the very top. It offers powerful Skill Damage scaling and, when wielded by Hydro characters, boosts the entire team’s Skill Damage on crits.
Even outside Hydro teams, the raw value is high enough to justify its placement in SS tier.
Excresduo (Ranged)
Excresduo is the ranged equivalent of Wanewraith. It provides excellent Skill Damage scaling and works across a wide variety of characters and builds. If a character relies on skills to deal damage or apply utility, Excresduo almost always performs at or near best-in-slot.
S Tier Weapons (Extremely Strong)
Siren’s Kiss (Melee)
Siren’s Kiss increases Skill Range while ramping Attack Speed through normal attacks. Its flexibility makes it valuable for both damage dealers and utility-focused characters that need wider skill coverage.
Fathomless Sharkgaze (Melee)
This weapon excels at expanding AoE coverage. Characters that rely on skill-based damage or crowd control benefit heavily from its range bonuses, especially when paired with mobility-focused Demon Wedges.
Momiji Itteki (Melee)
A crit-focused melee weapon that rewards sustained combos. It shines in prolonged fights where combo levels can be maintained, making it a strong choice for consistent DPS builds.
Remanent Reminiscence (Melee)
This weapon solves Sanity problems. By restoring Sanity on crits and offering excellent range, it’s ideal for characters that spam skills and struggle with resource management.
Arclight Apocalypses (Ranged)
One of the best support-oriented ranged weapons. Its ability to grant team-wide buffs on crit makes it especially valuable on companions designed to amplify others rather than deal damage themselves.
Embla Inflorescence (Ranged)
A standout option for Lumino characters. It heavily boosts Skill Damage and range, and in the hands of a highly invested Lady Knifel, it becomes one of the strongest ranged weapons available.
A Tier Weapons
Pyrothirst / Tetherlash (Melee)
These weapons extend Skill Duration, making them excellent for buffers, summoners, or characters with lingering effects. Their value drops sharply on characters without duration-based kits.
Sacred Favour (Melee)
Provides a large Attack boost with a powerful crit-based window after charged attacks. Strong, but requires deliberate play to maximize uptime.
Shackle of Lonewolf (Melee)
One of the best weapons for Hydro companions thanks to its Trigger Probability and team buffs. Outside Hydro teams, its value is much lower.
Guixu Ratchet (Ranged)
A comfortable, easy-to-use weapon with excellent crit scaling and projectile behavior. It builds combo quickly and performs well in most content without demanding perfect positioning.
Bluecurrent Pulse (Ranged)
Shines on Dual Pistol characters. Its bouncing projectiles and large damage bonuses make it strong in mob-heavy stages, though less impressive in pure boss fights.
B Tier Weapons (Situational)
Blade Amberglow (Melee)
Offers a large Attack boost, but lacks utility beyond raw damage. Functional, but easily replaced once better options are available.
Dove of Tomorrow (Melee)
Crit rate-focused with decent stance-breaking potential, but crit damage generally scales better, limiting its long-term value.
Silverwhite Edict (Ranged)
A ramping minigun that delivers consistent damage but contributes little to skill-based kits, making it less attractive in high-level play.
Ephemeral Lumina (Ranged)
Highly specialized. While it technically works, it only truly shines on Kezhou, and even then, stronger universal options exist.
C Tier Weapons (Low Priority)
Ironforger (Melee)
While its crit rate bonus looks appealing, its passive effect is unreliable and doesn’t meaningfully improve most characters’ performance.
Cloudveil Unfurl (Ranged)
Awkward firing behavior, low accuracy, and unimpressive scaling keep this weapon firmly at the bottom of the list despite its unique concept.
