Sister Other Paranoia challenges players with multiple story paths and unlockable content, making each route feel significant. The game’s structure invites exploration across five distinct routes, each unveiling unique scenes and contributing to dramatic conclusions that matter deeply to fans invested in every detail.
The five narrative routes available from the panopticon screen can be played in any sequence. Rather than forcing a linear progression, the game tracks your completion by individual segments, allowing flexibility in how you approach the unfolding story.
Understanding how to navigate these routes and meet the specific criteria is vital for securing the various endings. Without meeting these particular conditions, some content remains locked.
How the Routes Work
Each route is divided into 4 segments. You can freely move between routes after completing individual segments rather than progressing strictly linearly through one entire route.
This segmented structure allows players to switch focus without penalty, making it easier to explore different storylines at a comfortable pace.
For instance, after finishing a segment on the Bat route, you might choose to tackle another segment from a completely different route next. The game records which segments you’ve completed instead of locking you into finishing routes sequentially.
However, the game places an important restriction on the final stage of the Ring route.
This last Ring route segment unlocks only after you have finished all other routes. It’s a compelling design choice that encourages thorough exploration of the game’s storylines before revealing its final revelations.
Normal Ending
Achieving the Normal Ending requires completing every route, including all their segments. This full completion delivers the base narrative conclusion.
You may tackle the routes in any order, but skipping any segment will delay reaching the Normal Ending.
CGs Unlocked
- 1 – Finish the prologue.
- 7, 8, 9 – Complete the Fox route.
- 10, 11, 12 – Complete the Monkey route.
- 14, 15 – Complete the Caterpillar route.
- 16, 17, 18 – Complete the Bat route.
- 19, 20 – Complete the Ring route.
- 2 – Finish any route.
- 6 – Achieve the Normal Ending.
Monkey Route Choice
You might notice the “He’s not a bad guy” option is greyed out during your initial playthrough. This isn’t a bug but a deliberate gating mechanic.
This choice unlocks only after you have completed the Normal Ending. It opens a new narrative branch for the Monkey route.
So, it’s normal to be unable to select it during your first run.
Caterpillar Route Choice
Within the Caterpillar route, be sure to pick the line:
“You can do it. You can fly.”
This choice is essential for completing the route properly and progressing towards the Normal Ending.
True Ending
Once the Normal Ending is secured, return to the title screen where a new option will become available by clicking on Sahana.
This initiates the True Ending sequence, revealing deeper layers of the story missed previously.
If you select Sahana before finishing the Normal Ending, you receive only a brief cutscene where you pet her head, reinforcing the importance of progression.
CGs Unlocked
- 3, 4 – Appear naturally as you work through the True Ending.
- 5 – Triggered in the sunflower field when waiting at the option to look into her mind.
At this point, wait patiently until a new choice emerges:
“Trust my little sister.”
Select this to continue unlocking the True Ending’s full story.
Monkey Happy Ending
The Monkey Happy Ending appears as an alternate conclusion but requires prior completion of the Normal Ending to appear.
Start a fresh game and choose the Monkey route from the panopticon screen. Now the previously locked “He’s not a bad guy” dialogue choice becomes available, unlocking this alternate ending.
Picking this choice leads to a distinct happy resolution with unique story beats.
CG Unlocked
CG Unlocked
- 13 – Awarded for completing the Monkey Happy Ending.
If you tried unlocking this ending before finishing the Normal Ending and failed, that’s by design. The game’s narrative gating requires progression through the default ending first.
Caterpillar Bad Ending
To unlock the Caterpillar Bad Ending, go to the rooftop area and converse with Igusa.
Choose any response except:
“You can do it. You can fly.”
This alternative choice diverts the story to a darker ending on the Caterpillar route.
Note that this ending does not have special CGs uniquely tied to it.
CGs 21–25
CGs numbered 21 through 25 appear randomly during route progressions. They often unlock after completing the Normal Ending and may require replaying segments to obtain all.
If some of these CGs remain elusive, there’s a reliable method to farm them efficiently.
After the cutscene where Sahana speaks from the center screen against a black backdrop without a character sprite, save your game.
Reload this save repeatedly to cycle through the possible CGs until you gather all missing images.
Completing this process will unlock all 25 CGs, filling out the image gallery entirely.
Once all 25 CGs are unlocked, the image gallery will be complete.
