- All IDs Many console commands rely on exact IDs for locations, items, and spells. While much carries over from the original Oblivion, the remastered edition introduces new IDs that you’ll need to reference to fully leverage the console’s power.
Oblivion’s remastered release brings back the same chaotic charm players remember. Console commands remain a key tool, whether you’re speeding through quests or customizing your inventory. Expect familiar commands but watch for subtle differences in location and item IDs exclusive to the remastered version, which can make or break your experience.
If you run into any trouble with the commands or want quick clarifications, connecting with a community channel on Discord can get you the help you need faster.
How to Use Console Commands / Cheats
Opening the console requires pressing the ~ key in-game. If your keyboard layout doesn’t include this key, a simple configuration tweak will set a custom key to summon the console.
- Navigate to C:\Users\Your Username\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows
- Locate and open Input.ini
- Paste the following lines:
[/script/engine.inputsettings]
ConsoleKeys=
After the equals sign, add the desired key you want to use to open the console.
Keep in mind, using console commands disables achievements on that save. Certain mods can restore achievements if you want to keep progress tracking intact.

All IDs Many console commands rely on exact IDs for locations, items, and spells. While much carries over from the original Oblivion, the remastered edition introduces new IDs that you’ll need to reference to fully leverage the console’s power.
This part will be likely the most useful out of the guide, as most of the stuff from earlier was also available in the original Oblivion. However, there are new IDs to use in the Remastered version of TES4:
