In The Sims 4, staying ahead at work means more than just showing up. Filling out reports is a key daily task that boosts your Sim’s productivity and gets them promoted faster in the Business career. While it might not be obvious where to find this option at first, mastering it is essential for serious players chasing career success.

Fill Out Reports in Sims 4

When your Sim starts their job as a Mailroom Technician in the Business career, they receive daily tasks to complete before their shift. One of these crucial tasks is to fill out reports, which your Sim must finish to progress smoothly in their workday.

You don’t even need to own a computer to get this done. Simply find a computer to use—head to the library if money is tight. This flexibility lets your Sim keep up with their work tasks even without expensive home setups.

On a computer, several interactions appear, but don’t be fooled into looking under the Career tab for this specific task. The fill out reports option isn’t there, which can be confusing initially.

To fill out reports in The Sims 4, use a computer to access the “Web” page, then select the “Fill Out Reports” option. This is the key step your Sim needs to take each day to complete their work assignment efficiently.

How the Task Works and Bonuses for Completion

As with other daily activities, the progress bar will gradually fill from 25% up to 100% as the report is completed. It usually takes about two in-game hours, which should fit comfortably before your Sim’s next shift if you manage time well.

Once your Sim completes filling out reports, they receive a Focused moodlet called “Numbers,” which helps maintain concentration during work. Additionally, this task contributes to skill gains, making it a valuable daily habit for climbing the career ladder faster.

The Sims 4 is available across several platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Mac, letting players enjoy these career mechanics wherever they choose to play.
