Welcome to Elderfield Old Gods Follower Rooms Guide

In Welcome to Elderfield, each Old God offers unique follower rooms with valuable loot and stat bonuses. Learn their locations and benefits.

Welcome to Elderfield immerses players in a world where allegiance to enigmatic Old Gods opens secret doors to treasure rooms scattered throughout the landscape. Aligning with a different deity each week not only shifts your stats but also grants exclusive access to that god’s hidden chambers, filled with unique items and rewards that can turn the tide of your adventure.

Every Sunday, the church presents an opportunity to pledge loyalty to one of several Old Gods. This choice is far from cosmetic; it affects your character’s core attributes and determines which sacred rooms become accessible. These sanctuaries offer a variety of valuable resources ranging from potions and food to keys and gold, enhancing your chances for success in the week ahead.

The follower rooms attributed to your chosen deity can be found in key locations such as the Mall, the Old Woods, the Mall Mines, and the Catacombs. It’s important to note that some rooms in the mines may shift locations based on procedural map generation, so expect some variation each run.

How Old God Follower Rooms Work

Swearing loyalty to a single Old God each Sunday at the church alters your character’s stats and unlocks specific follower rooms. You will only have access to the rooms aligned with your current god during that week, so your choice directly impacts what treasures you can obtain and how you may want to build your character.

Because the mine layouts regenerate with resource resets—such as bathing for the first time each week—some rooms may appear in different places or may be replaced with those of another god. This mechanic adds variability to your exploration and rewards careful timing and planning.

Some mine layouts can change after resources are reset, so a room may not appear in the same place on every run.
