Strategy Map / Story Achievements

The bulk of your achievements will stem from actions taken on the world map and the narrative choices you make along the journey. Many will unlock through standard play, but some require specific triggers.

Unlocking achievements in order can help you manage progression smoothly, so we’ll highlight these chronologically based on the earliest opportunity to earn them.

Tiger Flame! Annihilation

• Complete the opening storyline and survive the initial conflicts.

Blood Ancestor’s Favor

• Trigger the event that attracts the Blood Ancestor’s attention for the first time.

This is an event you’ll hit automatically by Round 2. Oddly, only around 40% of players achieve this, hinting at its easy overlook or possible trigger conditions.

Blood Ancestor’s Surprise

• Defeat the Blood Ancestor during your initial encounter.

To engage the Blood Ancestor in battle, choose to be confrontational or protect Tang Caidie during the encounter. On Expert mode, equipping the base EXT martial art and Liu Ming’s blade with the Whale’s trait helped secure victory. A quick level-up fight against the Antelope before this event is highly recommended.

Saving before the battle is wise to avoid early defeat, especially if your character lacks strong martial arts. Unlocking any decent EXT skill during character creation can make this battle much smoother.

Tiger Falls, Wind Rests

• Play as the protagonist and have your sect destroyed by any rival faction.

Simply end the round quickly after the tutorial, then wait for the Boar Ridge faction to conquer your sect. This triggers the achievement effortlessly.

Slaughter the Boar

• Defeat the Boar Ridge faction.

Kill He Meng

• Eliminate He Meng, leader of the Boar Ridge Gang.

If you wonder how to accomplish this, follow these steps carefully:

1. Conquer Concubine Bridge first as your initial target.
2. Attack Boar Fort with Tang Bainiu included in your party.
3. Proceed through the chain of events, choosing to launch the attack between 11 PM and 1 AM.
4. Complete the event at Boar Cave afterward.

You don’t necessarily need to fully conquer or win the first Boar Fort battle to advance; simply winning the decisive battle in this event chain awards you both Boar Fort and Boar Cave immediately.

Infrastructure Maniac

• Own six locations with Development levels above 60.

Focus on improving Prosperity in at least six locations once you’ve secured Boar Ridge. Upgrading Development boosts resource income and is relatively straightforward at this stage.

Breakthrough: Whale

• Defeat the Whale boss.

This encounter comes via an event where Whale attacks. Despite his large health pool and powerful AoE attacks, overwhelming him with debuffs every turn can wear him down effectively. A full team is essential to manage this fight without strain.

On Expert difficulty, Whale was conquered on a second playthrough. The reward? One of the strongest traits for your main character, solidifying strategic growth.

Slay the Dragon

• Defeat the Dragon Bay faction.

Eradicate the Sparrows

• Conquer Sparrow Valley.

Warden

• Capture enemies 20 times during combat.

To increase enemy capture rates, obtain the Tiger Flame buff from the Spread Rumors skill, raising capture chances to 35%. Capturing enemies can save precious Action Points, as prisoners can be exchanged for Favor jewelry, which benefits companion relationships.

Hundred Battles, Hundred Victories

• Secure 100 battle wins within a single playthrough.

Might in Numbers

• Grow your sect’s membership to 30 members.

If you prefer recruiting only unique characters, know that the achievement is unattainable as there are only 18 unique recruits. For this achievement, temporarily recruit random characters, then return to your preferred roster afterward.

Humble and Courteous to Worthy Men

• Use the Recruit Talents action 30 times.

Best to accomplish this alongside Might in Numbers since both achievements demand heavy recruiting.

Subdue the Crane

• Defeat the Crane Hill faction.

Fell the Bamboo

• Defeat Immortal Bamboo.

Wealthy as a Kingdom

• Accumulate 100,000 taels of silver.

With much of the map reaching Prosperity levels around 75, your income will exceed 10,000 silver per round, and with minimal expenses, reaching 100,000 silver should be quite manageable.

Disperse the Mist

• Defeat the Misty Manor faction.

Falling Star

• Conquer Star Peak.

Catch the Hedgehog

• Defeat Spirit Hedgehog.

Break the Sword

• Unify or conquer Supreme Sword.

Burn the Books

• Defeat Bridge Academy.

Landing on the Island

• Fully explore Boat Peninsula.

Sect Elite

• Level up six characters to max level.

Invincible Under Heaven

• Maximize protagonist’s level and Favor.

This one remains tricky. Achieving full satisfaction for your main character is demanding and may require multiple playthroughs to perfect.

Endgame

• Defeat Night Crow.

Slaughter the Night

• Defeat all Night Crow leaders simultaneously in a single battle.

If you have not taken down any Night Crow leaders prior to endgame, this final battle will allow you to confront and defeat them all at once.

The Best Player

• Defeat all Night Crow bosses in one battle on locked Expert difficulty.

Dungeon Achievements

Dungeon, or “instance,” achievements require completing specific dungeons or certain conditions within them. They add a layer of challenge beyond the main story map.

Here, too, achievements are arranged according to when you can access these dungeons.

Maiden Village

• Clear the Maiden Village dungeon instance.

This dungeon unlocks after regaining control of RedReed Field and following an event where you meet Su Yanyan. Completing the dungeon nets this achievement.

Descendant of the Chen Family

• Discover Liaokong’s origins during the Maiden Village instance.

Pick up Liaokong at the Lake Pavilion after passing through the Crossroads and interact with every event marked by a red bubble—don’t miss any.

Unlocking this achievement enables you to recruit Liaokong in future playthroughs if you select the Abbot’s Prayer Beads during character creation.

The Truth Revealed

• Successfully rescue White Flower within the Maiden Village instance.

This achievement requires choosing the option to inquire about clues rather than asking directly about Ruby’s whereabouts before accessing the dungeon.

Interact with the Bulletin Board to read kidnapping notices and talk to the village chief. These actions unlock an alternate ending for the dungeon, revealing White Flower’s fate.

Note that rescuing White Flower prevents you from facing Fox before the endgame, so plan accordingly if you want the full roster of battles.

Flame Trace

• Clear the Flame Trace dungeon.

Located inside the FireGod’s Forest, this dungeon unlocks automatically after recruiting Lu Zhui, who will share vital information about her village.

StormFlame

• Obtain the secret manual by completing Flame Trace.

Simply finishing the Flame Trace instance awards you this hideout treasure without further conditions.

Boar Fort

• Clear the Boar Fort dungeon instance.

This dungeon becomes available after defeating the Boar Ridge faction and must be completed for additional achievement progress.

Dragon Ferry

• Clear the Dragon Ferry dungeon instance.

Access to this dungeon is unlocked by conquering the Dragon Bay faction.

Gambling Forest Master

• Win the gamble against the Gambling House Master inside Dragon Ferry.
