When you arrive at the Lower Chapel , the Fixing the Lake Pumphouse quest won’t trigger immediately. It only initiates once you make some progress, making it a pivotal upcoming task essential to advancing the storyline.
At the Lower Chapel, don’t follow the obvious path to the right. Heading that way triggers Verrik to send enemies with poisonous gas. Instead, move upward and veer left until you spot a crystal. Aim your Glaive at it to cut the rope—this action opens a new route to the right.
Be warned, slicing that rope alerts Verrik and causes poisonous gas to fill the area. Time becomes your enemy—you’ll need to quickly navigate out before it’s too late.
Cutting the rope using the Glaive will alert Verrik, and he will release the poisonous gas. So, you now have to hurry and escape from this place.
Escaping the Area
Use your Glaive to sever the rope on the Left side in Echo Weaver during the Fixing the Lake Pumphouse quest. This sets off the gas but is critical to progress.
Don’t waste time fighting the enemies once the gas starts releasing—it’s a losing battle. Instead, sprint to escape. Falling down means restarting the loop from the beginning. Before revisiting the Lower Chapel, grab a crystal to teleport and prepare for the next attempt.
Upon reentry, ascend again and redo the rope-cutting on the right side. Navigate upward and left while avoiding monsters and enemies. Prioritize speed and platforming over combat to save precious seconds.
Rush forward ignoring foes, leap onto elevated platforms, and make use of the launch mechanic to cover distances. Gather crystals on the right and use your Glaive to unlock paths on the left. If enemies are too persistent, taking them down quickly with ranged Glaive throws is a solid fallback.
Efficient enemy dispatch involves dodging their reach and hitting them with Glaive throws. Continue northwest, open paths safely, then dive and throw your Glaive left. Use the Folding mechanic to maneuver around obstacles and prepare for activating the switches.
Slide and jump skillfully past an activated spike trap box toward switches that need simultaneous activation. Throw your Glaive without hurling to turn off the red barrier. Time your movements so when the box arrives at the left, you can launch forward safely.
Exploring The Wash
Once inside The Wash, your new objective will appear but the path is locked. Collect the crystal at the bottom, then head left to sync your Glaive—this sync is vital for upcoming puzzles, so don’t leave without it.
Follow the path left, and before dropping down, grab a loop-extending crystal. Prepare for an enemy charge—jump over it and attack from behind. Then throw your Glaive left and continue descending carefully.
Approach a locked gate on the left; its key lies to the right but only after collecting mini crystals following an upward route. Dive down to collect these and the key itself, leaving your Glaive momentarily behind, which is safe at this stage.
Use the key to open the gate and reclaim your Glaive. Head left beyond the gate, where you’ll discover the village, setting the stage for the next exploration phase.
Use the key to open the gate and pick up your Glaive. Head left, and you will find a village there.
Exploring Refuge (The Village)
In Refuge, move left to find Intermind. Drop down on the left to unlock a shortcut connecting Refuge to your spawn. Launch your Glaive straight up and apply the Folding mechanic to traverse quickly—this shortcut saves time on replays.
Beware the trash hole to the left—falling inside forces a restart. Navigate upward and spot a house with Burning Enth outside; nearby crystals can help you fold your way into new areas.
Align with the crystals then throw your Glaive there. Use Burning Enth to execute Folding and access previously unreachable zones. This is where exploration really expands.
Exploring the New Areas
From Vestry, head left toward Arboretum. Collect two crystals along the path; the second crystal breaks a platform, dropping you onto a launch pad. Both left and right routes present unique challenges and rewards.
Left leads to mini and regular crystals, extending your loop time. Right brings you to a sync area to re-synchronize your Glaive. After syncing, use the Glaive to unlock barriers and proceed using Folding and diving techniques.
Throw your Glaive left, then fold through tight spots. Dive to reach lower levels and hurl your Glaive left again to continue unlocking the path forward.
Progressing Further With The New Mechanic
A key puzzle element emerges here: the Rupture mechanic. After deactivating a red barrier by calling back your Glaive, collect the crystal and unlock a memory. Use your Glaive and Folding skills to navigate to previously inaccessible areas.
You’ll need to throw and recall your Glaive multiple times to reset positions in this puzzle. Pay attention to timing; rushing can cause missteps, so wait for the right moment before re-throwing.
Once the barrier disappears, place your Glaive into the nearby machinery. Head up, activate a switch, then return to retrieve the Glaive and keep advancing.
Remnant of a Weaver appears above the Burning Enth. Use your Glaive and Folding skill to reach this collectible, marking significant progress.
After collecting the Remnant, fold your way out, retracing back toward the Glaive sync point. This sequence calls for precision and patience; be ready to retry tricky jumps.
Finally, use your Glaive and Folding once more from Burning Enth to jump onto the elevated path and prepare for what comes next in Echo Weaver’s unfolding journey.
