Fishing in Endacopia is far from a simple pastime. To unlock some of the game’s deeper mysteries, you need to catch an entire collection of 18 unique fish, each appearing only during specific times of day or night. Missing one or two fish is a common frustration, making timing as critical as patience for fishing enthusiasts here.
Each fish in the collection unlocks a piece of the greater puzzle. Collecting all 18 and inspecting your Fishing Paper grants you the coveted Lost Key, which opens the door to a secret side quest later on. Precision fishing, guided by the right time frames, is the key to saving you hours of wasted effort.
How to Unlock Fishing in Endacopia?
You can’t start fishing without first acquiring the Fishing Paper, the essential item that enables your angling adventure.
Use the Metal Detector along the sandy shores to find this paper. Once in hand, you’re ready to fish and start completing your collection with precision.
Note: When verifying your catch for the achievement, make sure to leave your fishing rod before checking the Fishing Paper. Some players have noted the achievement fails to register if you don’t.
How Fishing Works?
The game’s clock divides fishing opportunities into six distinct time periods, cycling between day and night phases.
Within each time slot, exactly three exclusive fish species spawn, totaling 18 unique catches you must acquire.

If you’re struggling to find a specific fish, double-check that your in-game time matches its designated period. Fishing outside these windows will yield no results for that species.
What Is the ??? Catch?
Occasionally, you might reel in a disturbing blurred human head marked ???. It’s an eerie catch that doesn’t add to your collection or achievement progress.
This strange catch won’t show up in the Aquarium nor unlock the I Want To Be A Fisherman achievement.
The ??? catch appears unpredictably and does not follow normal spawn rules. At best, it serves as a spooky surprise without gameplay benefit.
What Do You Get After Catching Every Fish?
Completing your collection of all 18 fish allows you to examine the Fishing Paper once more.
This interaction rewards you with the Lost Key, a vital item for uncovering additional secrets hidden within Endacopia.
How to Use the Lost Key?
The Lost Key unlocks a hidden safe located within the game’s secret areas.
To access it, first solve the Shack Puzzle. Then, shift the game into Windowed Mode and enter a small concrete room where the safe resides. The Lost Key will grant you access to this safe, revealing fascinating lore and enriching the storyline.
The entire process is complex enough to warrant its own detailed walkthrough for players who want all the secrets without frustration.
The Aquarium, found inside the house to the left of the waterfall, keeps a visual record of your fish collection for reference and completion satisfaction.
