Ending 1 – Our Promise
The first ending in Pragmata is the straightforward conclusion you reach by finishing the main story and defeating the final boss. It’s essential to soak in the narrative as it unfolds and gather as many collectibles as possible along the way to ease your journey toward the second ending.
This ending delivers a poignant conclusion that resonates emotionally, perfectly fitting the game’s tone. After experiencing it, players will naturally be curious about unlocking the elusive second ending, which reveals more about the story and the world.
Ending 2 – The Right Man For the Job
Once you’ve completed the game, the title screen will notify you that you can either jump into a New Game+ or load your save right before the final boss to engage with a new feature known as the ‘Unknown Signal.’ To get the second ending, choose to load your completed save at the final boss checkpoint.
Upon loading, a tense cutscene unfolds at your home base as Cabin urgently alerts you to a strange presence aboard the Space Station.
Cabin gives you the go-ahead to investigate the newly accessible Hidden Chamber. Inside, you’ll encounter ten Simulation Pods offering various challenges; however, at first, many Pods will remain locked.
To unlock all the Simulation Pods and their challenges, you must achieve 100% completion by collecting every item scattered throughout the game’s diverse areas and facing off against tougher, remixed versions of all bosses in their original arenas.
After conquering every challenge and reaching full completion, you’ll gain access to optional costumes and the critical new Mod called the ‘Black Box’, which is necessary for triggering the secret ending.
Equip the Black Box Mod immediately, then make your way back to the Orbital Elevator in Central Port to fight the final boss once more. The boss fights and cutscenes mirror your first playthrough, so the big differences only emerge after the credits begin.
As the credits roll, stay alert for changes signaling the secret second ending. A unique post-credits scene offers fresh insights, giving a satisfying closure for those who invested the effort into unlocking it.
