The Emperor loot room often feels like the culmination of your efforts on Pendola Pass, especially after investing an Emperor Gateway Conduit and solving every puzzle. Seeing it stripped bare can leave you wondering what went wrong in a game that usually rewards precision and perseverance.
Unfortunately, this isn’t always about luck or bad RNG — it can happen because other Raiders have exploited shortcuts to grab the loot before you even enter. But before jumping to conclusions, there’s a simple check that might save that run from feeling wasted.
Why Is the Emperor Loot Room Empty in ARC Raiders?
The main culprit behind an empty Emperor loot room is an exploit allowing players to circumvent the dungeon’s puzzles entirely. Once someone uses an Emperor Gateway Conduit to unlock the main entrance, other players can leverage abilities like the Showstopper and Snap Hook to access the final chamber from outside, shortcutting the entire challenge.
This tactic means some Raiders snag the rare rewards, including coveted Amplification Modules, without spending their own conduit or completing puzzle challenges. You might find yourself walking into an empty loot room after all that effort, only to discover someone else beat you to the prize.
How to Fix the Empty Emperor Loot Room
If the room looks barren, first make sure you’ve destroyed all six yellow targets within the chamber — three on each side. These targets unlock the containers along the walls, so missing even one can make the room seem empty when it actually holds hidden loot.
If the containers are already open and empty, unfortunately, that run’s loot is gone for good — there’s currently no way to reset or restore their contents mid-raid. However, keep searching the dungeon’s breachable containers along the main path; they often hold valuable crafting materials like Emperor Modulators essential for upgrading to Gunsmith Level 4.
Has Embark Fixed the Emperor Loot Room Exploit?
As of October 13, 2026, Embark Studios hasn’t publicly addressed or patched the shortcut exploit allowing players to bypass puzzles and grab loot early. For now, if you’re aiming specifically for the final loot room, consider conserving your Emperor Gateway Conduits to avoid doing the dungeon’s hard work only to come up empty-handed.
