Granger’s Hoggery is located in the Heartlands region, south of Valentine. Inside that shack, look carefully on the shelf just behind the front door rather than the more obvious cupboard spaces. The harmonica is disguised as a small brown box, so it’s easy to miss if you’re not paying close attention.
If the game doesn’t prompt you to pick it up immediately, try grabbing nearby canned vegetables first, then check the shelf again. Eagle Eye mode won’t highlight this item, so rely on careful visual inspection rather than glowing cues.
How to Trigger Sadie’s Harmonica Request
This request does not simply pop up like other gang member tasks. It begins during the Chapter 3 mission “Further Questions of Female Suffrage.” After accompanying Sadie to Rhodes for supplies, you’ll hear her reminisce about playing the harmonica before tragic losses changed her life.
It’s during this conversation that Arthur offers to find her a harmonica. You can collect the harmonica beforehand, but the quest officially triggers on this trip. Be sure to finish it before Chapter 4 ends for the best results.
How to Give Sadie the Harmonica and Get Gun Oil
Once the mission concludes, approach Sadie at camp and select the option to Give Request. Handing over the harmonica rewards you with Gun Oil left in Arthur’s wagon—an item vital for maintaining your guns in peak condition. This also counts towards the Errand Boy achievement.
