WH40K Rogue Trader Infinite Museion challenges players with a variety of clever puzzles that stand out in this expansion. Tackling these isn’t just about puzzle-solving; it’s about unlocking rare rewards and achievements that really enhance your gameplay experience. These puzzles can be deceptively tricky the first time around, especially without clear clues, so understanding how to approach them is key to making swift progress.
Cracking these puzzles nets you unique Achievements like Historical Excavation, Promethium Master, and Vandal. There’s also Ancestral Traces, which unlocks through the DLC’s narrative by locating Seberian von Valancius’s secret study. These recognitions are not just for bragging rights—they often tie directly into loot and story progression, making each puzzle worth the effort.
Zarkov Puzzle
Your journey to these puzzles begins by completing the mission In the Footsteps of a Legend. Progressing through the story and exploring different warp points on the map triggers the necessary events to set the stage for the challenges ahead.
The initial puzzle emerges as part of the quest The Awakened Dead. After defending Zarkov against xenos invaders, the Lost Tomb becomes accessible. Moving through this area, you’ll face combat encounters leading you to the puzzle scene on the chamber’s left side.
Before engaging the puzzle, clear your path by successfully passing an Athletics check. Inside, you’ll find a computer terminal, a fallen man, and a massive chest. Searching the dead body reveals a note that hints at the puzzle’s solution, crucial for avoiding frustration.
The puzzle interface consists of two mechanical handles and a touchpad. With the screen dark and the chest lights flashing red, input this sequence: right, middle, left, left. This exact order disables the lock, granting you the Historical Excavation Achievement.
Completing this unlocks the Reinforced Flask Armour and a valuable Premium Implant, gear that enhances your character’s survivability and combat effectiveness.
Museion Puzzle
Continuing The Awakened Dead storyline leads you to the Museion, where you’ll encounter another puzzle positioned at the map’s top right corner. Though it seems the associated achievement is not always awarded, the puzzle itself is a fascinating test of pattern recognition.
The core challenge is to connect the illuminated red circles by rotating discs to link red lines into a continuous path. The discs turn in specific directions—you need to line these up perfectly to complete the circuit. Referring to visual guides can clarify exactly which discs to turn and the precise rotations to apply.
The reward here is another Premium Implant that allows swapping your Strength modifier for Intelligence, and also lets you use your Ballistic Skill instead of Weapon Skill in close-quarters combat. If your character can’t equip it, it’s worth giving to Pascal for an additional edge.
Tirkuaz-4 Puzzle
Finding Tirkuaz-4 isn’t as straightforward as wandering DLC maps. Focus on the Sector Bionica questline and discuss upgrading the throne with Genetor Ferrenz. This triggers the Premium Implants quest, followed by Industrial Sabotage, which eventually unlocks access to Tirkuaz-4.
On the map’s top left corner, the puzzle awaits next to a steam-blocked gate concealing two chests. The puzzle itself is right beside this area and involves manipulating machinery to clear the obstacles.
The challenge features three wheels adjacent to a red energy generator. The goal is to align the generator’s bars to a stop line, which turns the generator’s lights green when done correctly. Rotating the wheels in the pattern 1-2-1-2 works smoothly, unlocking the gate and rewarding you with the Promethium Master Achievement.
The first chest contains Forge World Armour and a Somatic Premium Implant, both critical upgrades, while the second conceals a potent power maul plus a leg implant. These implants also contribute towards the Praise the Omnissiah Achievement, rounding out your arsenal nicely.
