In Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, collecting Intel is crucial for piecing together the game’s deeper story layers. Each mission holds two unique pieces of Intel, typically stored in WY PDAs scattered around key points, often near dead bodies. These documents provide important context about the Weyland-Yutani operations and alien threats that enrich the narrative experience as you progress.
However, simply finding Intel isn’t enough; you must complete the mission to save these collectibles to your inventory. Leaving early means losing that discovery and having to hunt it down again on another run.
These WY PDAs share the same in-game appearance, making it easier to spot them once you know what to look for. If you happen to pick up an Intel you’ve already secured, you’ll still earn a consolation of 50 credits, so scanning the environments thoroughly pays off every time.
This detailed breakdown covers every mission’s Intel locations, highlighting the exact spots and how to find them efficiently. Knowing where to look helps prevent frustrating backtracks and ensures you can focus on surviving each alien encounter while plundering every lore fragment.
Prologue – Banshee Down
The Prologue offers two key Intel pieces: Hits the Spot and Traitors. Both set the tone for the story and hint at the unfolding corporate conspiracies and alien threats.
Hits the Spot
Location: Cafeteria/Mess Hall
As the mission begins, leap through the broken window into the cafeteria. Upon entering, glance straight across the room. There’s a dead body leaning against one of the booths, and the Hits the Spot Intel lies just beside it.

This is one of the first collectible moments you’ll encounter, rewarding a thorough scan of your surroundings beyond the immediate threats.
Traitors
Location: Armory / Firing Range
Push onward through the mission until you reach the communication room and beyond into the armory section. Look for the firing range, marked by a backdrop with the word “Traitors”.
Underneath this display sits another dead body, with the second Intel piece placed right beside it. This spot rewards attentive exploration past mission goals.
Chapter 1 – Rescue and Recovery
The first chapter contains three missions, each hiding two Intel for a total of six collectibles that expand on the mission’s backstory and world-building.
2-1 Piping Hot
This mission offers W589BB and Dreaming Intel items.
W589BB
Location: Crash dropship
Follow your objective until you arrive at the crash site. Near the dead body you investigate here, keep an eye out to the right on the ground where the W589BB Intel can be found.
Dreaming
Location: Life Support building
Progress until you battle a group of synthetics, which unlocks a new doorway leading to the Life Support building. Descend the stairs into the hive area here. The first console near you holds the Dreaming Intel.
2-2 Breaking and Entering
This mission contains the Writing Reports and Fauna Evaluation Intel.
Writing Reports
Location: Room following the audio about three Xenomorphs arriving
After engaging synthetics inside a building, interact with the final computer to hear alerts about incoming Xenomorphs. When the next door unlocks, continue forward to a room with a desk. The Writing Reports Intel rests on the corner of this desk.
Fauna Evaluation
Location: Outside the Trauma Room
Once you reach the Trauma Room, clear enemies and resupply before proceeding. Outside, look straight ahead under the first spotlight to find the Fauna Evaluation Intel on the ground.
2-3 Synth Headache
Warship Inbound
Location: Communication building
Enter the communication building and clear out synthetics. You’ll need to activate two terminals to open a middle door leading upstairs to another terminal.
Before heading up, take a left and check beneath the stairs. The Warship Inbound Intel lies on the ground there.

Location: Outside near resupply point
After battling synthetics outdoors, head upstairs to the resupply crate. From there, stick close to the right-hand wall and continue around the corner to find the last Intel in the chapter on the ground.
Chapter 2 – Boarding Party
This chapter includes six Intel spread across its three missions, continuing to deepen the narrative.
3-1 Bomb Squad
Love You
After activating the initial terminal, proceed straight ahead to discover a dead body leaning against a wall. The Love You Intel is tucked beneath this body.
3-1 Bomb Squad Missed Check In
Location: Living Quarters
Further into the mission, enter the Living Quarters. Locate an ammo crate positioned against the back wall beside a resupply box. Interact with it to grab the Missed Check In Intel.
This mission hides the Almost and Saw Hector Again Intel pieces.
Location: Broken Elevator
After surviving initial synthetic waves, you’ll find a broken elevator. Step inside this elevator to find the Almost Intel lying within.
Saw Hector Again
Location: Near dead body after first Siren encounter
After the first Xenomorph Siren fight, replenish your ammo and proceed. Just around the corner, spot the dead body with the Saw Hector Again Intel resting on the floor beside it.
3-3 Sleep Study

Location: Near blast door past Cryopod section
After exiting the cryopod zone and fighting off a Xenomorph horde, you’ll encounter a door that requires cutting open. Once opened, turn around and head opposite to a non-interactive blast door. Look right next to that door for the Checking In Intel resting on a nearby cart.
Workers Comp
Location: Hive area with Xenomorph eggs
Chapter 3 – Rock Bottom
Chapter 3 contains six Intel spread across three missions, continuing the story’s progression and world detail.
4-1 Power Problems
Hey Newbie
Location: Mine area right after Weyland-Yutani tunnels
After leaving the Weyland-Yutani tunnels, follow the upward sloping path on the right side to find a tucked-away section with a console and several monitors. The Hey Newbie Intel is located here.
Location: Corridor beyond the holdout section
Complete the holdout objective, then proceed down the stairs into a straight corridor. At the corridor’s end, look for a blue barrel with the To Do List Intel resting on top.
4-2 Running on Fumes
Shift Coverage
After turning off the gas, you’ll arrive at a hive room containing a terminal to search. Look along the back wall opposite this terminal to find the Shift Coverage Intel sitting on a shelf beside a yellow canister.
Not Giving Up
Location: Warehouse area
Once your mission shifts to investigating the warehouse, keep left and ascend the stairs leading to a “restricted access” door. Through this door, a desk holds the Not Giving Up Intel.
4-3 Hive Mind
Sector G
At the mission start, reach the first supply box and veer left until you spot a forklift. A red barrel nearby conceals the Sector G Intel, which you can pick up by pressing the interaction button.
Note: On PC, this Intel can sometimes be invisible but remains collectible.
Finally
Location: Hive area after the second supply box
Proceed past the second supply box into the hive, hugging the right wall. Near a small staircase descending downward lies the Finally Intel on the floor.

Consisting of Canyon Crawlers, MUTUR May I, and Deadly Descendants missions, this chapter features six scattered Intel collectibles.
5-1 Canyon Crawlers
This Changes Things
Location: First indoor building
Right at mission start, enter the building and look left to find a desk holding the This Changes Things Intel.
This Isn’t Worth It
Location: Final laboratory
At the mission’s end inside the lab, interact with the journal that triggers a cutscene. Near the right Xenomorph egg window lies the This Isn’t Worth It Intel on a nearby body. Collect it before the cutscene fully triggers, or you’ll have only a short window afterward to grab it.
Look for a tucked-away area containing a console with several monitors. There you can find the Hey Newbie intel.
To Do List
Location: Corridor after the holdout
After completing the holdout objective, make your way down the stairs and continue along the straight corridor.
At the end of the corridor, look for a blue barrel. To Do List intel is on top of it.
4-2 Running on Fumes
Shift Coverage
Location: Office after turning off the gas
After turning off the gas, you will reach the hive room where you have to search a terminal.

Look at the back wall opposite the terminal. Shift Coverage is lying on a shelf next to a yellow canister inside the Office.
Not Giving Up
Location: Warehouse area
Continue playing the mission until your objective changes to Investigate Warehouse.
Keep to the left and go up the stairs. Enter the “restricted access” door. There you can find a desk with Not Giving Up intel on it.
4-3 Hive Mind
Sector G
Location: Near the first supply box
At the beginning of the mission, reach the first supply box.
From there, keep to the left until you reach a forklift. Look for a red barrel near the vehicle.
The Sector G intel is on the barrel and you can grab it by pressing the F button.
Note: On PC, this Intel may sometimes appear invisible. You can still pick it up even when the intel does not show.
Finally
Location: Hive area after the second supply box
After reaching the second supply box, continue into the hive while staying close to the right-hand wall.
Keep following the wall until you reach a small set of stairs going down. There you can find the Finally intel lying on the floor.
Chapter 4 – Ancient Anomaly
Ancient Anomaly has six Intel across Canyon Crawlers, MUTUR May I, and Deadly Descendants.
5-1 Canyon Crawlers
This Changes Things
Location: First indoor area
At the start of the mission, enter the building.
As you enter, look to the left for a desk. This Changes Things intel can be found lying on the desk.
This Isn’t Worth It
Location: Final lab
The second Intel can be found at the end of the mission inside the lab.
You have to look for the journal that you need to interact with to trigger the cutscene. This Isn’t Worth It intel is on a body near the right Xenomorph egg window.

Make sure you collect it before triggering the mission-ending sequence. If the cutscene starts without you picking it up, you can look behind you afterward, but you only get a short time to grab it.
