ATLYSS Classes
At level 10, players face an important choice between three distinct classes in ATLYSS: Fighter, Mystic, or Bandit. Selecting your class involves interacting with one of three NPCs who provide a quest that, upon completion, equips you with an item setting your character’s class path. Once you’ve committed, remember this decision is permanent, so choose with intention.
Class choice in ATLYSS impacts your combat style, skill progression, and role within groups, so a thoughtful pick can shape your entire experience.
To become a Fighter, seek out Enok, who guides you through the transition into this melee powerhouse role.

If spellcasting and support appeal to you, the Mystic class becomes available by working with Angela.
Alternatively, the Bandit class focuses on agility and stealth, with Sally serving as the mentor.
After committing to a class, your skill points are reset to allow you to allocate into your new class’s abilities. This moment lets you tailor playstyle by choosing which offensive and defensive skills best fit your approach to combat.

However, you are limited to selecting six active skills before battle, including general skills, making it vital to focus on synergy and versatility rather than raw numbers.
Active skill changes can only be made when you return to the Sanctum hub, emphasizing thoughtful pre-battle preparation.
Fortunately, if you find your skill allocation unsuited to your playstyle, you can remedy the situation.
Sally’s Shop sells a Tome of Unlearning, allowing you to reset your skill points and experiment with new builds without penalty.
Just buy Tome of Unlearning and you can not worry about spending skill points on something you did not like!

ATLYSS Builds
Below, the leading character builds highlight how to maximize each class’s strengths, focusing first on the Fighter and Mystic classes, to suit different roles in combat distinctly.
Fighter Build
The Fighter class thrives at close range, specializing in melee combat with a selection of weapons that favor different tactics and speeds.
- One-handed weapons: Offer swift attacks allowing for flexible combat.
- Two-handed heavy weapons: Deliver slower but impactful strikes.
- Polearms: Provide extended reach to control crowd spacing.
Despite their tank role, Fighters have less innate self-healing than other classes. Their build revolves around stacking strength for damage and vitality to endure attacks.
Getting the most out of your Fighter requires actively utilizing your skills and refining your loadout to fit your combat preferences, maximizing effectiveness in tight fights.
- Use your abilities consistently: Skills like Stomp and Cyclone generate crowd control and damage, essential in battles.
- Try new combinations: Experiment to discover which skills compliment your playstyle.
Racial choice in ATLYSS is flexible since all racial skills can be acquired later, but for tank builds, select the Chang race to unlock the invaluable Sturdy skill early.
The Sturdy skill at rank 3 offers full damage immunity and auto-parrying for 8 seconds with a cooldown of 40 seconds, making it the cornerstone of defense for tank-focused Fighters.
Stats
Prioritize:
- Strength: Powers up Fighter skills and boosts stamina, letting you block and attack more effectively.
- Vitality: Enhances your health pool, critical for survival.
Put aside other attributes since they do little to bolster your core Fighter build.
Fighter Skills
Must-have skills include:
- Stomp: Deals area damage, slows enemies, and reduces their defenses to protect allies.
- Rage: Temporarily increases strength, boosting your damage output; keep this active.
- Blood Gush: Applies damage-over-time effects, excellent for sustained damage.
- Cyclone: Spins devastating attacks with two-handed weapons, trapping enemies.
- Shield Bash: Stuns foes, granting control and interrupt capability.
- Bulwark (Passive): Lowers stamina consumption for blocking and strengthens parries.
- Reflect (Passive): Enables damage reflection when using a shield, essential against ranged attackers.
Avoid less reliable skills like Lethal Strike which don’t offer consistent utility or damage output.
Classless Skills
- Sturdy: Grants temporary immunity to damage and knockback, perfect for tanking.
- Recovery: Provides essential healing.
- Inner Focus: Ensures a critical hit on the next attack, useful for burst damage.
Recommended Fighter Build
Active skills:
- Stomp (4/4)
- Rage (6/6)
- Blood Gush (4/4)
- Cyclone (5/5)
- Recovery (5/5)
- Sturdy (3/3)
Passive skills:
- Bulwark (4/4)
- Heavy Melee Mastery (2/2)
Fighter Tank Build
While your choice of race only affects your starting skill, picking Chang for their Sturdy skill greatly benefits tank builds due to its damage-nullifying and auto-parry effect.
Even if you don’t pick Chang initially, you can acquire Sturdy later through scrolls, but starting with it enhances early survivability.
At level 3, Sturdy makes you immune to knockback and all damage for 8 seconds, with a 40-second cooldown, a game-changer in challenging encounters.
Attributes
Distribute your limited attribute points mainly between Strength to augment attack damage and stamina pool, and Vitality to increase health points.
- Strength: Critical for stamina regeneration and amplifying your attack power.
- Vitality: Builds the foundation for your tankiness and survivability.
While leveling, balance these stats according to your comfort:
- Focus on Strength if confident in your dodging and blocking.
- Prioritize Vitality to endure more damage if you feel vulnerable.
Don’t neglect Mind either, targeting about 60 Mana since half your skills consume it, balancing resource management during combat.
Gear Choice & Enchantments
A Fighter tank thrives with a Sword and Shield setup. Shields provide excellent durability for blocking, while swords support your active defense and offense.
Enchant your gear with these enhancements:
- Energetic: Boosts stamina maximum, increasing endurance.
- Guardian: Raises magic defense to offset the lower Mind stat.
- Killer: Enhances damage output.
Recommended distribution includes three Killer enchantments, one Guardian, and one Energetic for balanced offense and defense.
- Use 3 Killer enchantments, 1 Guardian, and 1 Energetic on your gear.
Skills
Active Skills
Leverage six active skills, focusing on these four key survival and control abilities:
- Sturdy: Your most vital defensive skill granting immunity and auto-parry.
- Stomp: Deals AoE damage while reducing enemy defenses and generating threat.
- Shield Bash: Stuns foes for up to 2.5 seconds, disrupting enemy actions including bosses.
- Divine: A classless spell healing allies and damaging foes, excellent for sustained fights.
Optional flex skills to adapt your playstyle:
- Rage: Boosts party damage stats significantly for 30 seconds.
- Blood Gush: Delivers AoE damage and damage-over-time effects, ideal for solo runs.
Other versatile skills to consider include Siphon Leech for sustainability, Recovery for healing, Execute for high-health foes, and Lethal Strike for mobility.
- Siphon Leech: Adds damage and sustainability.
- Recovery: Provides extra healing for solo runs.
- Execute: Useful for high-health enemies.
- Lethal Strike: Grants mobility.
Passive Skills
Passive skills build your core defensive and offensive capabilities:
- Melee Mastery: Unlocks vital combat moves; prioritize early leveling to rank 2.
- Bulwark: Decreases stamina cost for blocking and lengthens your parry window.
- Reflect: Enables blocking attacks to reflect damage, crucial against ranged enemies.
Skill Allocation (Level 25)
By level 25, aim for these skill levels for maximum tank efficiency:
- Sturdy: 3
- Melee Mastery: 2
- Divine: 3
- Stomp: 4
- Rage: 6
- Blood Gush: 4
- Bulwark: 4
- Shield Bash: 4
- Reflect: 4
This build makes you a formidable tank, capable of holding enemy focus while providing valuable support and damage mitigation for your team.
Mystic Build
Mystics wield powerful magic and support skills, excelling at ranged damage and healing. Their weapon choices reflect this versatility, with:
- Scepters: One-handed weapons for swift casting.
- Bells: Two-handed tools delivering powerful spells.
Stat allocation is primarily toward Mind to enhance spell potency, with enough Vitality to survive tough encounters.
Key Tips
- Keep your abilities refreshed: Swap out rarely used skills to maximize combat efficiency.
- Adapt and experiment: Testing different skill combinations is essential to find what complements your team role best.
Race Recommendations
Race selection has limited impact, but choosing Kubold grants the useful Alacrity skill, boosting your casting speed to enhance performance.
Stats
Focus your stats on:
- Mind: Strengthens magic damage and effectiveness of healing.
- Vitality: Keeps you durable when under attack.
Avoid diffusing points into stats that don’t improve your abilities significantly.
