The Tomb of the Noble Queen appears within the Mausoleum of the Queens, located just east of the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life on the Holy Innocents’ Cemetery map. After finishing the Belmont’s Curse One Way Mirror segment, you’ll head here to meet Eleanor and claim The Sage Arcana, which grants the invaluable Mirror Walk spell to Rose Belmont.

Important to know: the tomb is marked inside the Mausoleum of the Queens, but as you proceed right from the Overgrown Crypt, the game briefly shows you’re in the Mausoleum of the Kings before you reach the correct room. This can confuse newcomers, but pressing on to the right brings you to the actual Tomb of the Noble Queen. Starting from the Pauper’s Grave Mirror of Life and following a clear route can help avoid frustration.

Navigational tips for the route: use red for walking, green for jumping and ground smashing, and blue for transitioning through gates. This color coding reflects the movement style you’ll use at different points along the path.

Before you meet Eleanor and claim your reward, remember you must defeat the Succubus in the Hall of Mirrors to earn the Life Drain card first. Without completing that boss fight, Eleanor won’t give you The Sage Arcana.

Where to Find the Tomb of the Noble Queen

This tomb lies in the one-room Mausoleum of the Queens. If you have the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life unlocked, just head east from there to find it. Otherwise, use the Pauper’s Grave Mirror of Life for your closest fast travel point, then navigate through multiple rooms and battles on foot.

Breakable Blocks

The first room requires some skill: Rose must use her Aerial Dash ability to reach neon pink hooks, ascending to a higher level. After grabbing the second hook, smash down to break destructible blocks that clear your path. If Aerial Dash isn’t unlocked yet, solve the Belmont’s Curse Library Puzzle and defeat Carmilla to gain it first.

Timed Lever

The following room forces you to time your use of Holy Light on shifting Chaos Shard walls to climb past spikes on the walls. Use Rose’s double jump to reach the ceiling and hit a timed lever. This lever opens a hatch with a Brave Heart Fragment. Exiting this area leads you to the Overgrown Crypt.

Overgrown Crypt

Here, combat takes center stage over puzzles. Expect fights against Biphrons, Throw Masters, Gargoyles, and a Mud Man. Take out the Mud Man quickly to end the arena battle. Continue onward, dodging Chaos Shard barriers and using pink hooks, facing two Frozen Shades before you reach the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life.

Activate the Overgrown Crypt Mirror of Life and proceed right through a room labeled Mausoleum of the Kings. Don’t panic—this isn’t a detour. Defeat the two Gargoyles and Biphron guarding the way, then keep moving right to continue the route.

Mausoleum of the Queens

The tomb and Eleanor await you here with an obstacle-free setup. Eleanor will automatically greet Rose upon entry, setting the stage for important story and gameplay progression.

How to Get to Eleanor at the Tomb of the Noble Queen

Reaching Eleanor is straightforward—you’ll find her standing centrally in the Mausoleum of the Queens and can interact immediately. However, the Sage Arcana won’t be awarded until you’ve progressed sufficiently in the Hall of Mirrors quest. Here’s what needs to be done first:

Complete the Four Mirror Challenges

Eleanor starts trapped in a mirror in the Hall of Mirrors area, chained by four seals. Breaking these requires completing four Mirror of Life challenges scattered across the map.

These challenges are found at:

• Paris Streets near the cemetery
• Main Hall through Servants’ Hall and Dungeon
• Clock Tower in Mechanic’s Ascent
• Notre-Dame’s East Gallery

After unsealing all four, return to the Main Hall to continue.

Once the four seals are broken, you’ll progress the Hall of Mirrors storyline and unlock the final confrontation.

Defeat the Succubus and Claim Life Drain

In the Hall of Mirrors, the final boss appears disguised as Sypha—but it’s really the Succubus, known as the Temptress. Defeating her and claiming Life Drain from her reward orb is crucial before returning to claim The Sage Arcana.

After the fight, grab the Temptress Arcana card, which includes Life Drain. Only then head back to the Mausoleum of the Queens in Holy Innocents’ Cemetery.

Once prerequisites are met, interacting with Eleanor here grants you The Sage Arcana. The spell description reads: “Places a mirror at Rose’s current location. When recast, Rose teleports back to the mirror’s location and recovers 50% of the health lost since casting. The mirror disappears after 15 seconds or upon teleportation.”

This Mirror Walk ability quickly became a favorite for its tactical movement and healing usefulness, especially in boss battles or tough enemy encounters.
