Building teams in Neverness to Everness isn’t just about stacking strong characters. The game leans heavily into synergy, reactions, and rotation flow, so a well-built team will outperform a “strong but random” lineup every time.

Contents
  • Team 1 – Anima (Blossom Reaction Team)
  • Team 2 – Incantation (Scorch / Nova / Discord)
  • Team 3 – Cosmos (Hybrid Scaling Team)
  • Team 4 – Lakshana (Balanced DPS Team)
  • Team 5 – Chaos (High Skill Ceiling Team)
  • Team 6 – Psyche (Future Potential Team)
  • Flexible Characters You Can Slot Anywhere
  • Arc (Weapon) Recommendations

What makes things interesting is how different elements and mechanics like Blossom, Scorch, Nova, Remora, and Discord interact with each other. Once you understand that, team building starts feeling intentional instead of trial-and-error.

Let’s go through the best team setups and what actually makes them work.

Team 1 – Anima (Blossom Reaction Team)

This is one of the cleanest and most beginner-friendly setups.

  • Nanally (Main DPS)
High burst damage with built-in crit buffs, making her ideal for explosive rotations.
  • MC (Sub DPS / Trigger)
Enables instant cycle rotations, which helps trigger Blossom reactions quickly.
  • Jiuyuan (Control / Utility)
Groups enemies together, making AoE damage much more effective.
  • Haniel (Support)
Provides consistent damage amplification for the entire team.

Everything revolves around setting up Nanally’s burst windows. You group enemies, trigger reactions quickly, and then unload damage. Simple, efficient, and very strong.

Team 2 – Incantation (Scorch / Nova / Discord)

A more advanced team focused on burst combos and shield breaking.

  • Baicang (Main DPS)
High damage output but consumes HP, so positioning and timing matter.
  • Sakiri (Support / CC)
Strong crowd control and buffs, especially when enemies are controlled.
  • Daffodil (Burst / Break DPS)
Excellent at breaking shields and enabling powerful Discord cycles.
  • Haniel (Support)
    Adds overall damage boost

This team stacks effects that amplify each other. Once everything lines up, you get extremely high burst damage, especially against tougher enemies.

Team 3 – Cosmos (Hybrid Scaling Team)

This team feels a bit unusual but becomes very strong over time.

  • Chiz (Main DPS)
Scales with in-game currency, meaning she gets stronger as your progression improves.
  • Hathor (Burst DPS)
Gains stacking buffs that boost her ultimate damage significantly.
  • Jiuyuan (Control)
Keeps enemies grouped for maximum efficiency.
  • Haniel (Support)
    Provides consistent buffs.

It’s a scaling team. Early on, it feels average. Later, it becomes one of the strongest setups due to how well Chiz and Hathor scale.

Team 4 – Lakshana (Balanced DPS Team)

A steady and consistent team without heavy reliance on complex mechanics.

  • Skia (Main DPS)
    Reliable and consistent damage output.
  • Sakiri (Support / CC)
    Provides control and buffs.
  • MC (Cycle Enabler)
    Helps trigger fast rotations.
  • Haniel (Support)
    Boosts overall team damage.

This team focuses on stability. It doesn’t rely on perfect timing or specific setups, making it great for general content.

Team 5 – Chaos (High Skill Ceiling Team)

This is one of the more experimental and advanced setups.

  • Lacrimosa (Main DPS)
Unique playstyle with dual attack modes (melee and ranged) and the ability to copy enemy skills.
  • Sakiri (Support / CC)
Keeps enemies controlled for consistent damage windows.
  • Daffodil (Burst / Break DPS)
Enables Discord reactions and weakens enemies.
  • Haniel (Support)
    Provides damage boosts.

Lacrimosa’s flexibility allows this team to adapt to different situations, but it requires more understanding of mechanics to fully utilize.

Team 6 – Psyche (Future Potential Team)

This one is still uncertain.

  • Aurelia (Potential DPS)
Not fully confirmed, but likely intended as the main damage dealer.
  • Fadia (Tank / Sustain)
Can absorb damage and keep the team alive.
  • Haniel (Support)
    Standard damage buffer.

Right now, it’s incomplete. This team depends heavily on future character releases.

Flexible Characters You Can Slot Anywhere

Some units aren’t tied to one team and can be used across multiple setups:

  • Fadia – Tank with healing and reflect mechanics
  • Hotori – Hybrid support/DPS with unique skill recording system
  • Mint – High ultimate damage DPS
  • Edgar – Reliable healer
  • Adler – Strong shields and skill damage

These are great “adjustment” units when your main team is missing something.

Arc (Weapon) Recommendations

Arcs act like weapons and can drastically change performance.

  • Nanally – Best with her limited Arc, but alternatives still work
  • Chiz – Battle Pass Arc is strong early, but her late-game Arc is better
  • Skia – BP Arc is currently one of the best options
  • Lacrimosa – Likely designed around a signature Arc, but alternatives are viable

General rule:

  • Signature > Battle Pass > Free options

But don’t stress too much early. Good team synergy matters more than perfect gear.
