The hunt for these coins rewards you with the entry key and leads straight into one of the toughest battles in the game.
How to Fight Pink Mad Mew Mew in Deltarune Chapter 5
To take on Pink Mad Mew Mew, you must first obtain the Mysterious Key from the Cliff Shop. Unlike other items, this one cant be bought with regular currency. Instead, it costs pink coins, a unique Chapter 5 currency variant. Having the key is essential since it unlocks the door to reach the boss arena.
This means before you even step into the fight, youll need to gather 10 pink coins scattered around the castle and the surrounding Dark World areas. It’s a bit of a scavenger hunt, but well worth the effort to face this secret boss.
Where to Find Pink Coins in Deltarune Chapter 5
There are a total of 19 pink coins hidden across the Dark World in Chapter 5, but only 10 are necessary to unlock the boss fight by purchasing the Mysterious Key. Tracking down the first 10 coins offers a good balance of challenge and accessibility. Collecting more coins unlocks additional items post-fight, rewarding thorough exploration.
Pink Coin 1
Head one screen left from the End of Garden door. Switch into the side-scrolling PetalFeather mode here, then jump and slash at the coin. It will automatically be added to your inventory once you grab it.
Pink Coin 2
Return to the shrine where you first acquired the Petal Feather. Jump left to enter a vertically scrolled room with leaves to jump on. Climb to the top, then jump right onto the shrine roof. Continue moving right to find this coin in a hidden room.
Pink Coin 3
The Hopschef door is your entry point for this coin. Switch to PetalFeather mode and head right, hopping up leaves to reach a door on the left. Switch back to RPG mode and enter. Navigate through a Tori Gate while battling monsters to open a treasure chest containing this pink coin.
Pink Coin 4
Travel to Green’s Shop, then head left. Use the flowers in the next room to launch yourself upwards, and move into the adjacent room on the left. This room features a challenging platforming section with moving flowers you must jump across, rewarding you with the pink coin at the end.
Pink Coin 5
On the way to Pink Coin 4, you’ll find a pit with a gold coin midway through the platforming sequence. Drop down here and wait as a pink elephant creature tries to grab cheese. Once it succeeds, the floor will fall away. Survive this sequence to land in a new room with a door and another pink coin. This area will be useful again later.
Keep this door’s location in mind since youll revisit it after collecting more pink coins.
Pink Coin 6
From the room where Yellow’s bloodstains appear, move up a room and switch to xanadu-mode. Run right into the next room where you’ll need precise timing hitting yellow flowers to launch yourself to the top platform. The pink coin awaits you there.
Pink Coin 7
Near the castle entrance, to the right of the cafe, walk through a paper corridor and arrive at a ledge with six statues—one hostile, five pushable. Push all five statues off the ledge, then descend the stairs to a room where you find a treasure chest containing a pink coin.
Pink Coin 8
Just upstairs from the previous coin’s room, enter the adjacent space to discover yet another pink coin waiting for you.
Pink Coin 9
Locate the Hopschef door, head left into the hedge clippers room, and collect the watering can. Exit via the left path and move north to find a treasure chest hiding a pink coin.
Pink Coin 10
Teleport to the Mysterious Puzzle room inside the castle. Arrange the two movable blocks to create a path to the upper-right platform. Jump up here to grab the final pink coin needed for the key.
With 10 pink coins collected, visit the Cliff Shop to purchase the Mysterious Key. This key unlocks the Pink Door, paving the way to the Pink Mad Mew Mew fight.
Where to Find the Pink Door
After securing the Mysterious Key, its time to track down the Pink Door. If you missed the earlier directions, here they are again to make sure you find this gateway without trouble.
1. Head to the door near Green’s Shop at the castle’s upper section.
2. Move right, then use flowers to launch yourself upward, finally entering the room to the left.
3. Midway through, drop down into a pit containing a gold coin.
4. Observe the purple creature grab cheese, triggering the floor to collapse beneath you.
5. After falling, you’ll land directly in front of the Pink Door.
Entering the Pink Door initiates the boss fight against Pink Mad Mew Mew almost immediately. Make sure youve stocked your inventory with useful items, as this super boss is as punishing as any special challenge Toby Fox is known for.
