- The Final Broken Stained Glass Piece
Many players believe they’ve fully cleared a stage in Duskfade once they gather all visible collectibles, but the game holds a secret that only becomes apparent in the final stage: Broken Stained Glass. These rare shards hide deep within stages, requiring you to revisit them with specific items to retrieve. Chasing down these pieces adds a rewarding layer of exploration, challenging your mastery of the game world beyond the surface.
All Broken Stained Glass Locations in Duskfade
Broken Stained Glass pieces aren’t shown in each stage’s collectible checklist, making their discovery feel like uncovering a hidden mystery. You can tell if a stage contains one by its fast travel icon: a Cuckoo sticker will appear after collecting all standard items, but it won’t have “100%” marked above it if hidden glass remains to be found.
Duskfade features thirteen Broken Stained Glass shards scattered across its stages, with roughly half the levels containing one. No single stage holds more than one shard, so hunting these treasures means revisiting multiple areas with newly gained abilities. Below are exact locations and conditions for every shard, arranged in stage order for ease of tracking.
Erazus Forest Broken Stained Glass
This shard is inaccessible until you acquire the Pendulum from the Apprentice’s Wing stage. Once you have the Pendulum, return to the bridge at Erazus Forest’s center and unearth a crystallized chest to claim the Broken Stained Glass shard.
Scorched Grove Broken Stained Glass
You’ll need the Sundial from Celestial Kingdom before this shard becomes available. Ride the grind rails outside the Scorched Grove’s fast travel point until you reach a wooden platform with a chest containing the shard.
Starstone Mines Broken Stained Glass
This piece unlocks only after obtaining the Stopwatch from Clockwork Academy. Progress through Starstone Mines until after the red-tree cave, then use the Stopwatch to open a purple door leading into a challenge room. Victory here awards a chest holding the shard.
Mount Cinder Broken Stained Glass
After securing the Pendulum, head back to Mount Cinder’s start to find a buried treasure chest containing the shard.
Meridian Village Broken Stained Glass
This shard requires the Pendulum as well. Near the fast travel point, locate a waterfall to the left and use a bouncy flower to climb. Inside the waterfall cave, break orange crystals using the Pendulum to unveil a chest with the shard.
Great Library Broken Stained Glass
Close to the Great Library’s finale room, pick up an Echo near the right side. Look left toward an Ancient Coin guarded by moving books trying to push you away.
After collecting the coin, wait for the books to reset, then sneak behind the closest book to reach a concealed alcove containing a treasure chest with the Broken Stained Glass.
Canal Hamlet Broken Stained Glass
Cross the bridge mid-stage, veer left past a grappling point and bouncy plant, and locate breakable orange crystals. Inside, a buried chest awaits with the stained glass shard.
Royal Highroads Broken Stained Glass
This one opens after you earn the Wings from Clockmaker’s Rest. Spin the giant sundial until it faces the boost ring, then fly through it to reach small platforms and a chest with the shard.
Auric Palace Broken Stained Glass
Just beyond the Auric Palace fast travel spot, take the grind rail pointing right. This will deliver you straight to a buried chest with a stain glass piece.
Deepthorne Broken Stained Glass
After the initial Deepthorne area, revisit to find a new bouncy plant. Use it to reach an overhead grind rail leading to a buried treasure chest containing the stained glass shard.
Stonetusk Canyon Stained Glass
Return with the Wings to a large gear after the Stonetusk Canyon fast travel point. Activate it to raise a grind rail. Flight through the boost rings reveals a buried chest with the shard.
Desert of the Last Memory Stained Glass
At the stage’s final gear, look left for a building you can fly into. Use bounce pads and grappling points to reach a roof, traverse stone platforms, then drop into an adjacent building. Inside lies an Echo and the Broken Stained Glass piece.
The Final Broken Stained Glass Piece
After tracking down all other shards, return to the Clockwork Academy’s stained glass portrait room and speak to Cload. He’ll reward you with the final shard needed to complete the portrait.
Reassembling the portrait grants you a diary rich with pivotal lore, wrapping up one of the game’s most intriguing secrets.
