Getting all six rods can take some time because several quests involve rare fish, mutated items, and hidden event mechanics. This guide explains how to unlock the Boglin Branch, Eldritch, Webweaver, Doomsekkar, Dutchman’s Rod, and Omniscient Spinecaster, including their stats and passive abilities.

FischFright 3 features six Halloween rods, each with unique unlocking methods. Most rods come from quests or event objectives, while the Dutchman’s Rod and Omniscient Spinecaster demand completing special rituals to earn them.

There are six new rods available during FischFright 3, and each one has a different unlock requirement. Four rods come from NPC quests or event progression, while the Dutchman’s Rod and Omniscient Spinecaster require players to complete rituals.

The six rods available are:

• Boglin Branch: Finish the Youngster Goblin questline.
• Eldritch Rod: Reach Hex Energy Level 11 by offering ingredients to Beatrix’s cauldron.
• Webweaver Rod: Complete three quests from Webby Winston and buy the rod with Treats.

Complete these five objectives to unlock the Boglin Branch:

1. Finish three Goblin Challenges on Normal difficulty or higher; Green-outlined Easy Goblins won’t count.
2. Give the Youngster Goblin 10 Witch’s Ingredients of any type.
3. Obtain one Boglin Skull.
4. Obtain one Boglin Twig (sometimes called Boglin Fang).
5. Obtain one set of Boglin Wraps.

1. Complete three Goblin Challenges on Normal difficulty or higher. Easy Goblins with green outlines do not count toward this objective.

2. Give the Youngster Goblin 10 Witch’s Ingredients of any type.

3. Obtain one Boglin Skull.

4. Obtain one Boglin Twig. Some quest text may refer to this item as a Boglin Fang.

5. Obtain one set of Boglin Wraps.

Once you finish three Normal-or-higher Goblin Challenges, you can farm the rest of the Boglin items from Goblin Challenges at any difficulty, even Easy ones drop the parts at this stage. These items have a low chance to drop, so expect to grind a bit until your quest tracker updates.

Keep in mind that the Boglin Skull, Boglin Twig, and Boglin Wraps are rare drops. You may need to complete several rounds before obtaining all three items, so keep farming until the quest tracker confirms your progress.

The Eldritch Rod unlocks by offering Witch’s Ingredients to Beatrix’s cauldron in Caustic Hallow. Conveniently, you can farm ingredients for this and the Boglin Branch quest simultaneously. Approach Beatrix and select "Offer Ingredient" or "Offer All Ingredients". Each ingredient raises your Hex Energy by one. Reach Hex Energy Level 11 to claim the Eldritch Rod and additional rewards like Witch’s Pot furniture and special bobbers.

To begin, find Beatrix near her tree and approach her cauldron. Interact with it and select either “Offer Ingredient” or “Offer All Ingredients.” Every ingredient you offer adds one Hex Energy, and the game displays a message confirming the amount gained.

Continue offering ingredients until you reach Hex Energy Level 11. Once you meet the requirement, claim the Eldritch Rod from Beatrix. You will also receive other rewards as you progress through the Hex Energy levels, including Witch’s Pot furniture, the Coffin Bobber, and Black Licorice.

How to Get the Webweaver Rod in Fisch

Webby Winston, located inside Webridden Cavern, grants the Webweaver Rod after you complete three quests simultaneously: Trick-or-treat at 16 unique houses with your Candy Bucket equipped, catch 15 Cobweb Cod in green water, and catch 10 fish with the Webbed mutation inside the cavern.

Here are the requirements:

1. Trick-or-treat at 16 different houses while equipping the Candy Bucket. Visiting the same house multiple times will not count.

2. Catch 15 Cobweb Cod in the cavern’s green water.

3. Catch 10 fish with the Webbed mutation inside Webridden Cavern.

After completing these, Webby rewards you with 1,000 Treats, which you then spend to purchase the Webweaver Rod. Be careful not to spend these Treats elsewhere before buying the rod.

This means you can obtain the rod without spending extra Treats from your existing balance, provided you save the entire quest reward. Make sure you do not spend those Treats on other event items before buying the rod.

How to Get the Doomsekkar Rod in Fisch

The Doomsekkar Rod is tied to Doomsekkar’s questline near the Halloween graveyard by Webridden Cavern’s entrance. You’ll need to catch 100 fish from temporary Frightful Pools, achieve 50 Perfect Catches, and capture a haunted spirit during a special event.

You need to complete the following three objectives:

Frightful Pools spawn around the ocean during FischFright 3, glowing pools that boost fishing rewards. You can summon one anytime with the Frightful Pool Totem, purchasable from the Flying Dutchman for 3,000 Treats. Perfect Catches can be worked on while fishing here.

The first two objectives can be completed at the same time, so keep fishing in Frightful Pools while aiming for Perfect Catches to make progress toward both requirements.

To catch the haunted spirit, wait for a server notification about a haunted house appearing in Caustic Hallow, indicated by a green glowing number. Equip your Candy Bucket, knock on the door, and keep your cursor on the ghost until capture completes. This teleports you to a special zone where a Magic Mirror allows you to exit back to the main world.

The haunted spirit objective requires you to wait for a server notification announcing that a haunted house has appeared in Caustic Hallow. Look for the house with a glowing green number, as this identifies the correct location for the encounter.

Follow these steps to capture the spirit:

1. Equip your Candy Bucket before approaching the haunted house.

2. Knock on the door and select either available dialogue option.

3. Keep your cursor on the ghost until the capture process is complete.

4. Once the spirit is captured, you will be teleported to a special area.

5. Use your Magic Mirror to leave the area and return to the main game.

Return to Doomsekkar after completing the objectives to claim the Doomsekkar Rod and earn an extra 3,000 Treats.

The Doomsekkar Rod boasts a massive 275% Luck and a solid 100% Lure Speed, with unlimited fish weight capacity. However, its Resilience is -666%, a real negative stat that makes handling strong fish tricky and adds a layer of risk. It also has a unique passive where pumpkin bombs appear during fishing, speeding your Progress when fish approach and applying the Doomsekkar mutation.

Passive — Pumpkin Bombs: Small pumpkin bombs appear during the fishing minigame. When a fish moves toward a bomb, your Progress Speed increases. The passive can also apply the Doomsekkar mutation to fish.
