The latest Fisch update has added a new companion called Budling, along with a new bridge in the Living Garden, the Astraeus Serenade rod progression, and three new fish to find.
In this post, I’ll show you what we know about the Budling update and explain how you can find the new companion in Fisch. We will also go over what you need to do once Budling appears and why you need to be careful while escorting it.
The update itself is relatively small, but Budling is one of the more interesting additions because it introduces a new companion mechanic inside the Living Garden.
If you are trying to find Budling and are wondering where it spawns or how to bring it safely to the garden, here is everything shown in this update guide.
How to Find Budling in Fisch – Full Budling Update Guide
Budling is the new companion added with the latest Fisch update.
You can find Budling wandering around the Living Garden while holding a random seed. However, one important thing to know is that Budling does not appear permanently in one location.
The companion spawns randomly, so if you arrive at the Living Garden and do not see Budling immediately, you will need to wait until it appears.
During the gameplay shown in the guide, Budling eventually spawned inside the Living Garden and could be seen walking around the area.
So, if you are searching for Budling, your main location is the Living Garden. Keep checking the area and wait for the companion to randomly spawn.
How to Escort Budling
Once you find Budling, you need to escort it across the side bridges and safely bring it toward the garden.
The update includes a new bridge in the Living Garden that you can use to help navigate Budling across the area.
Your goal is to guide Budling over these bridges without allowing it to enter the water.
This is the most important part of the process because if Budling touches the water, it will reset all the way back to its starting point.
That means you will have to start the escort process again, so it is best to carefully guide Budling across the bridges instead of rushing.
Budling Spawns Randomly
Budling’s spawn is random, which means it may not always be waiting for you when you first enter the Living Garden.
If Budling is not there, you simply need to wait for it to spawn and keep checking the area.
Once it appears, you can find it walking around while carrying its seed and begin guiding it across the bridges.
The important thing is to stay in the Living Garden area and keep an eye out for the companion because it can randomly appear there.
Budling’s Possible Passive
Budling may also have a unique passive that other companions cannot offer.
The exact details of this passive were not fully explained in the guide, but it could give Budling something special compared to the other companions currently available in Fisch.
Players will likely need to spend more time testing the companion to see exactly what makes its passive different.
Astraeus Serenade Rod
The update also adds the Astraeus Serenade rod to the Wish of Sky menu.
This allows players to access and begin the progression connected to the rod.
So, alongside the new Budling companion, players also have a new rod-related progression option to work toward after the update.
Three New Fish
The Budling update also includes three new fish.
While this is a smaller update overall, the addition of new fish gives collectors more catches to search for while exploring Fisch.
Together with Budling and the Astraeus Serenade rod progression, these new catches make up the main content included with the update.
Overall, the Budling update is a fairly small Fisch update, but the new companion is definitely the main attraction.
Budling can be found spawning randomly in the Living Garden, and once you find it, you need to carefully escort it across the side bridges. Just make sure it does not touch the water because doing so will reset Budling back to the starting point.
If Budling is not spawning for you, wait around the Living Garden and keep checking because the companion appears randomly.
With the new companion, the new bridge, Astraeus Serenade progression, and three additional fish, there are a few new things for us to check out in the latest Fisch update.
