Beginning The Security Guard Route
After entering the gala area, head toward the left side of the room where several security personnel are gathered.
You’ll find two guards having a conversation. Rather than immediately approaching them, spend a moment eavesdropping on what they’re discussing.
After their conversation ends, one guard will remain behind. This is the guard you’ll eventually need to convince.
Speaking with him reveals the problem. He’s expecting another guard to arrive for duty and won’t allow you through unless you can prove you’re the person assigned to that shift.
To proceed, you must discover the identity of the missing guard.
Investigating The Café
Your next destination is the café area inside the venue.
Behind the counter, you’ll find a man and a woman having a conversation. Listen carefully to what they are saying.
During their discussion, the man mentions having trouble remembering the password for his tablet. He also reveals that the password has been written down and stored inside a drawer nearby.
This information provides the opportunity Bond needs.
Accessing The Password
Use Bond’s hacking abilities on the nearby laptop.
The hack serves as a distraction, pulling attention away from the counter and creating a brief opening.
While the employee is distracted, sneak behind the counter and locate the drawer containing the written password.
Reading the note gives Bond the information needed to access the tablet later.
This section can be completed entirely through stealth, so take your time and avoid drawing unnecessary attention to yourself.
Creating Another Distraction
With the password secured, the tablet itself is still being watched.
The woman working behind the counter remains close enough to notice any suspicious activity, so you’ll need to create another diversion.
Look for the washing machine behind the counter and hack it.
The resulting disturbance causes the woman to move away from her position, leaving the tablet temporarily unattended.
This gives you enough time to safely interact with the device.
Discovering The Missing Guard’s Identity
Now that the tablet is accessible, use the password you discovered earlier to unlock it.
Inside, you’ll find the guard rota, which contains staffing information for the event.
Most importantly, it reveals the name of the security guard who failed to show up for duty.
Bond now has exactly the information he needs to continue the infiltration.
Convincing The Security Guard
Return to the security checkpoint where you first spoke with the guard.
Initiate the conversation again.
Because you now know the identity of the missing employee, Bond can convincingly claim to be the replacement guard assigned to the shift.
The guard accepts the explanation and grants access to the restricted area.
Rather than sneaking through vents, knocking out enemies, or finding alternate routes, you can simply walk directly into the security section as if you belong there.
Completing The Always on Duty Challenge
Once the guard allows you through, the Always on Duty challenge will be completed.
This route is one of the cleanest infiltration methods available in Uninvited because it avoids combat entirely and relies on observation, hacking, and social manipulation.
It also perfectly captures the classic James Bond fantasy. Instead of fighting his way into a secure area, Bond gathers information, exploits small weaknesses in security procedures, and uses confidence to walk directly past guards who should be stopping him.
Tips For A Smooth Infiltration
The most important part of this challenge is patience. Every required clue is obtained through observation and distractions rather than force.
Make sure to eavesdrop on conversations completely before moving on. The game often hides important information inside dialogue, and skipping ahead too quickly can leave you wondering where to go next.
When hacking devices inside the café, wait until employees fully react to the distraction before moving. Rushing toward the tablet while staff members are still nearby can result in unwanted suspicion.
Once you learn the missing guard’s identity, the rest of the challenge becomes straightforward, allowing you to enter the security area without triggering alarms or attracting attention. This makes the Security Guard route one of the safest and most satisfying infiltration methods in the entire mission.
