If you’ve been wanting to recreate Aoi Todo in Kaizen, this update finally makes it possible. Between the new Boogie Woogie V2, Todo’s clan, and the Hanami raid, there’s plenty to work toward once you jump into the latest content.
One thing I noticed while going through this progression is that getting Boogie Woogie V2 isn’t difficult because of one boss or one quest—it’s the mastery grind that slows most players down. The good news is that if you know which enemies to fight, the process becomes much faster.
Here’s the complete walkthrough.
Step 1: Get the Todo Clan
Before worrying about Boogie Woogie V2, you’ll probably want Todo’s clan if you’re building a character inspired by him.
Open the Clan Spins menu and start using your spins.
According to the in-game rates:
- Legendary Clan: 10% chance
- Todo Clan: Approximately 0.17% chance
Since Todo is one of the rarer Legendary clans, don’t be surprised if it takes quite a few spins before he finally appears.
Todo Clan Bonuses
Once obtained, the clan provides several useful combat bonuses:
- +15 Melee
- +10 Stamina
- +10 Defense
- +10% Melee Damage
- Increased Maximum Stamina
- +10% Maximum Cursed Energy
For melee-focused builds, these bonuses are definitely worthwhile.
Step 2: Equip Boogie Woogie
After getting your clan sorted out, equip Boogie Woogie and begin leveling its mastery.
You’ll start with only the basic ability, meaning the early grind can feel a little slow.
If you’re also using Todo’s build, many players like pairing it with Flawless Flow because its visual effects fit Todo’s powerful cursed energy style surprisingly well.
Best Way to Farm Boogie Woogie Mastery
The fastest method is simply fighting enemies that give good mastery rewards rather than endlessly defeating weaker mobs.
Early Mastery
At first, you’ll only have access to your basic Switch ability.
This isn’t ideal for dealing damage, so focus on defeating easier enemies until you unlock your second skill.
Unlock Black Flash Kick
After reaching 10 Mastery, you’ll unlock:
Black Flash Kick
This immediately speeds up the farming process because your damage output increases significantly.
Once you have this move, defeating stronger enemies becomes much easier.
Which Enemies Give the Most Mastery?
One interesting thing during testing is that not every enemy rewards the same amount of mastery.
Smaller enemies may only reward around 2 Mastery, making them fairly inefficient if you’re trying to level quickly.
Instead, it’s much better to fight stronger enemies and mini-bosses whenever possible.
The difference in progression is noticeable.
Fight the Large Rock Curse
One of the better enemies for mastery farming is the large Rock Curse.
While it has much more health than regular mobs, the mastery rewards are considerably better.
Once Black Flash Kick is unlocked, defeating this enemy becomes much more manageable.
Unlock Every Boogie Woogie V2 Ability
As your mastery increases, you’ll eventually unlock the complete moveset.
The full Boogie Woogie V2 kit includes:
Switch
Instantly swap positions with your selected target.
Great for mobility, dodging attacks, and confusing enemies during combat.
Black Flash Kick
A quick rushing kick that deals strong burst damage while helping you close the distance.
Dance Party
One of the strongest combo abilities in the moveset.
This attack rapidly strikes nearby enemies with multiple hits, making it excellent for both bosses and groups of enemies.
Applause Barrage
A fast barrage of consecutive attacks that chains nicely with your other abilities.
It also deals impressive sustained damage during longer fights.
Boulder Throw
Launches a massive boulder onto your target.
Besides looking satisfying, it hits surprisingly hard and works well as a finishing move.
Hanami Raid Walkthrough
Once you’ve unlocked the full Boogie Woogie moveset, it’s time for the update’s main challenge—the Hanami Raid.
The raid consists of several encounters before reaching the final boss.
Defeat the Spore Crawlers
The opening objective asks you to eliminate groups of Spore Crawlers.
These enemies aren’t particularly dangerous, but clearing them quickly lets you move deeper into the raid.
Forest Guardian Mini Boss
Next you’ll encounter the Forest Guardian.
Compared to the regular enemies, this fight requires a bit more attention.
A simple combo like:
- Black Flash Kick
- Dance Party
- Applause Barrage
- Boulder Throw
works very well here.
Defeat Hanami
The final battle is against Hanami.
This boss hits much harder than the earlier enemies and has several dangerous attacks.
One of the biggest threats is Hanami’s Domain Expansion, which can quickly overwhelm players who aren’t paying attention.
Tips for Beating Hanami
- Stay mobile instead of standing directly in front of the boss.
- Save Dance Party for larger openings.
- Use Boulder Throw whenever it’s off cooldown for extra burst damage.
- Don’t waste your strongest abilities if Hanami is about to enter another attack animation.
- If you’re playing with friends, coordinate your attacks to finish the fight much faster.
Despite the difficulty, Boogie Woogie V2 performs surprisingly well against Hanami thanks to its mobility and combo potential.
The latest Kaizen update does a great job capturing Todo’s fighting style. Between the Todo Clan bonuses, Boogie Woogie V2’s revamped abilities, and the Hanami raid, there’s enough new content to keep players busy for quite a while.
The mastery grind can feel slow at first, but once Black Flash Kick is unlocked, progression speeds up considerably. From there, it’s just a matter of unlocking the full moveset and putting it to the test against Hanami. If you’re looking for a technique that’s fun, mobile, and packed with flashy combos, Boogie Woogie V2 is well worth the effort.
