Alright, so this is one of those statue puzzles again, but this one actually trips people up more than expected because of the time pressure. Once you understand how it works though, it becomes way easier to handle.
Let me quickly explain how these statue puzzles work in general, because if you understand this part, everything else becomes straightforward.
Find Statues
Whenever you’re exploring the map, keep an eye out for stone statues. These are tied to unlocks like characters or cosmetics. If you spot weird-looking target boards nearby, there’s almost always a statue involved somewhere close.
Find Targets
Each statue has 3 target boards around it. Some are obvious, some are hidden pretty well, so don’t assume you’ve found all of them immediately.
Hit Targets
Here’s where it gets interesting.
When you hit one target:
- The statue’s eyes glow blue
- One slot at the base lights up
But you only get around 15 seconds to hit the next target.
Hit the second one, and you get another short window to finish the third.
So yeah, you can’t just take your time. You need a plan.
Claim Prize
If you hit all three within the time limit:
- Go to the statue
- Press F
- Reward unlocked
Locate the Fox Statue
Start from the lodge and head to the far right ski lift. This is the one leading to the freestyle slope.
- Ride it all the way up
- When you get off, look to the right
- You’ll spot a target board
From there:
- Walk toward that target
- Then continue straight up the mountain
You should end up right at the statue.
This location sits roughly in the forest area on the right edge of the map, so if you’re lost, that’s your general direction.
Target 1
Locate
You already saw this one on your way up.
Turn around from the statue and look back down the slope.
Position
Stand in the shadow of the tree near the edge of the mountain.
Hit
You can try figuring this one out naturally, but if you’re struggling, there’s a lineup later that makes it consistent.
Target 2
Locate
Go back to the statue and turn left.
You’ll spot it immediately, it’s not hidden at all.
Position
Stand right next to the statue.
Hit
Same situation here, doable without help, but lineups will make it easier if you’re missing throws.
Target 3
This one is basically right next to the statue.
No tricks here.
No lineup needed.
If you miss this one… well, yeah, that’s on you.
Claim the Fox
If all three targets were hit in time, the statue will fully activate.
Walk up to it, press F, and you’ll unlock the Fox character.
You can equip it from any cosmetics chest after that.
New Look Achievement
This part is automatic.
Since unlocking the fox counts as getting a new character, you’ll get the “New Look” achievement as well.
One thing to note though, achievements usually show up after you close the game, so don’t panic if it doesn’t pop instantly.
General Tips and Tricks
Target Order
Always go from hardest to easiest.
You don’t want to waste your timer struggling on a difficult shot at the end.
Use the Marker Trick
- Hold 1 to place a marker
- Hold 2 to teleport back to it
This is honestly one of the best tricks:
- Place marker at the statue
- Go stand right next to the hardest target
- Hit it easily
- Teleport back and finish the rest
Bring Friends
Seriously, this makes everything trivial.
- Each person handles one target
- Use teleport trick
- Done in seconds
Way less stress, way more consistent.
Lineups
If you don’t want to guess your throws, use these.
Target 1
- Stand in the tree shadow near the edge
- Fully charge your throw
- Aim the inner circle at the tip of the leaves
Target 2
- Stand right next to the statue
- Fully charge
- Aim the bottom of the outer circle just above the tip of the tree
