Wanted Posters are one of the more enjoyable side activities in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight because they combine exploration, small environmental puzzles, and criminal hunts across Gotham City. Instead of simply collecting items, you are actually rebuilding missing posters piece by piece and then tracking down the suspect hiding somewhere nearby.

There are a total of 7 Wanted Posters scattered across Gotham, and while the first one is introduced during the story, the rest require proper exploration of different districts and rooftops. Some poster pieces are hidden surprisingly well, and a few require specific characters or gadgets before you can collect them.
This guide explains how the Wanted Poster system works and includes detailed locations for every poster currently available.
Wanted Poster Activities
Wanted Posters unlock after meeting Renee Montoya during Chapter 1 and completing the first poster activity tied to the main quest.
After that, Gotham opens up and additional bulletin boards become available throughout the city.
Each Wanted Poster activity follows the same general structure:
- Find the bulletin board
- Locate 3 missing poster pieces nearby
- Rebuild the poster
- Identify the suspect
- Track down and arrest the criminal
The game marks the suspect’s general location after the poster is completed, but some suspects can still be easy to miss because they blend into crowds.
Personally, I really liked this activity because it feels more detective-focused compared to normal collectibles.
Tricorner Island Wanted Poster One
This first poster is part of the Chapter 1 main quest called Tricorner Investigation, so it is impossible to miss.
First Poster Piece
The first piece is located inside a nearby parking lot.
Look near the wall beside a lamp post and you will spot the piece leaning against the side of the parking structure.
It is very close to the bulletin board itself, so this one is straightforward.
Second Poster Piece
The second piece is located north of the area on top of several cylindrical tankers.
Look for the bright Octan neon sign nearby. The piece is sitting on top of the tanker structures.
You may need to climb surrounding objects or glide across nearby rooftops depending on your current character.
Third Poster Piece
The final piece is hidden at the construction site.
Go to the top floor and search around the wooden pallets and planks. The piece blends into the environment slightly, so it can be overlooked during quick exploration.
Once all three pieces are collected, return to the bulletin board and assemble the poster.
The criminal revealed here is:
- Oswald Cobblepot
Tricorner Island Wanted Poster Two
The second Tricorner poster starts near the southern edge of the island close to the Kord Industries building.
This poster is a little more puzzle-focused than the first one.
First Poster Piece
The first piece is wedged between two storage crates while a nearby citizen stares at it.
You cannot grab it immediately.
Destroy the nearby crate first to build a pull handle onto the outer storage box. After building it, use the Batmobile to pull the crate away and create enough room to grab the poster piece.
This honestly feels like one of the cooler environmental interactions in the Wanted Poster activities.
Second Poster Piece
The second piece is attached to the corner wall of a WAYNE storage container inside Zone B2.
A movable cart nearby acts as a platform.
Push the middle cart toward the wall and climb onto it to reach the piece.
Third Poster Piece
The last piece floats around a nearby gantry crane walkway.
You simply need to climb the structure and follow the moving piece until you can collect it safely.
Once the poster is rebuilt, the suspect’s location becomes marked on the southern side of the island.
Tricorner Suspect Location
Travel to the far southern warehouse area and enter the final building near the back.
Inside:
- Turn right
- Climb to the upper ledge
- The suspect is hiding in the corner
This one is slightly trickier because the criminal is indoors rather than wandering outside.
Old Gotham North Wanted Poster
This Wanted Poster begins near a Mini Mart in northern Old Gotham North.
The puzzle interactions here are honestly much more creative than earlier posters.
First Poster Piece
The first piece is being used by a citizen as a cleaning rag for the Mini Mart window.
Talk to him and he explains that his cleaning machine stopped working.
Use Detective Mode to follow the machine’s power cable and restore electricity to the system.
After repairing it, speak with the citizen again and he happily hands over the poster piece.
This is one of my favorite small side interactions in the game because it feels very LEGO-style and goofy.
Second Poster Piece
The second piece floats above a rooftop vent near the ORCHAD building.
Use Jim Gordon to disable the airflow from the vent.
Once the air stops, the piece drops down for collection.
Third Poster Piece
The final piece is located underneath a water tower across from Wayne Tower.
You simply need to climb the rooftop structure and collect it from beneath the tower.
Old Gotham North Suspect
After rebuilding the poster, the suspect appears near a small park beside the train station.
The criminal is actually dancing inside a crowd of people, which makes the arrest scene surprisingly funny.
Old Gotham South Wanted Poster
This bulletin board sits near the outskirts of the district close to the bridge and town hall corridor.
The area contains several vertical platforming sections and gadget interactions.
First Poster Piece
The first piece is located upstairs beside the bulletin board underneath some rubble.
Destroy the rubble near the edge of the platform to uncover the hidden piece.
Second Poster Piece
The second piece hangs inside a spider web attached to the side of the bridge support.
Throw a Batrang at the web to knock the piece down safely.
Third Poster Piece
The final piece is inside a small greenhouse located on a rooftop nearby.
You must use Catwoman here because she can cut through the glass roof to enter and grab the piece.
Without Catwoman, this collectible cannot be obtained.
Old Gotham South Suspect
After assembling the poster, head toward the park entrance nearby.
The suspect stands casually beside some benches near the entrance area.
Old Gotham West Wanted Poster
This poster requires Robin for one of the puzzle sections, making it one of the few Wanted Posters with a mandatory character requirement.
The bulletin board is located north of Old Gotham West past Subwayne.
First Poster Piece
The first piece circles around a rooftop water tower near a large woman statue.
Climb the building and wait for the floating piece to move close enough for collection.
Second Poster Piece
The second piece sits on a rooftop near the building with the DVD advertisement sign.
To access it:
- Throw a Batrang at the lock
- Use Jim Gordon to stop the chemical leak nearby
Once the area is safe, you can grab the piece.
Third Poster Piece
The final piece is trapped inside a large mechanical claw.
This is where Robin becomes required.
Using Robin:
- Throw Batrangs at the three small boxes
- Hit them from right to left in the correct order
Once all targets are activated correctly, the claw opens and releases the piece.
This is probably one of the more puzzle-heavy Wanted Poster collectibles in Gotham.
Old Gotham West Suspect
The suspect stands among a crowd near the SUMMER GLEESON advertisement sign.
At first glance, they blend in with nearby civilians surprisingly well.
Best Tips For Wanted Posters
While collecting all Wanted Posters, a few things help tremendously:
Unlock More Characters Early
Some poster pieces require specific characters like:
- Catwoman
- Robin
- Jim Gordon
Trying to collect everything too early may force unnecessary backtracking later.
Use Rooftops Frequently
A huge number of poster pieces are hidden:
- On rooftops
- Near water towers
- Around cranes
- Above vents
Traveling across rooftops instead of streets usually makes exploration faster.
Detective Mode Helps A Lot
Several puzzle sections rely on Detective Mode for tracking wires or finding hidden interactions.
Using it regularly makes collectible hunting much easier overall
Wanted Posters are honestly one of the better side activities in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight because they mix puzzles, exploration, platforming, and detective work together instead of feeling like simple fetch quests.
Some poster pieces are easy to grab immediately, while others require environmental interactions, character abilities, or small puzzle solutions that make Gotham feel more alive and interactive.
The criminal hunts at the end also add a nice payoff because it feels like Batman is genuinely tracking Gotham’s criminals instead of just collecting random items around the city.
