Choosing the right weapon in Windrose is not just about damage numbers. It directly affects how smooth your combat feels, how well you manage stamina, and how efficiently you deal with bosses or groups.

  • S-Tier Weapons
  • A-Tier Weapons
  • B-Tier Weapons
  • C-Tier Weapons
  • D-Tier Weapons

This guide breaks down every tier in a clear and practical way, so you understand not just what’s strong, but why it’s strong and when you should actually use it.

S-Tier Weapons

These weapons define the current meta because they combine high damage, strong scaling, and reliable performance in almost every situation.

The Rapier of a Thousand Cuts is the strongest melee option right now because of its extremely fast thrust attacks and excellent scaling, which allows it to deal consistent single-target damage while staying safe due to its quick animations.

The Reliable Musket dominates ranged combat thanks to its very high pierce damage and strong critical scaling, making it perfect for eliminating enemies from a distance before they become a threat.

The Reliable Pistol stands out for its burst potential because it can fire multiple shots without reloading, allowing you to quickly deal heavy damage, especially against human enemies where its bonus damage becomes very noticeable.

A-Tier Weapons

These weapons are slightly below S-tier but still extremely effective and often easier to use depending on your playstyle.

The Cutlass is one of the most dependable melee weapons because its wide slashes make it excellent for dealing with groups of enemies, especially early and mid-game.

The Plague Pistol offers strong damage combined with status effects, making it ideal for builds that focus on sustained damage and healing interactions.

The Drake’s Double-Barreled Pistol is excellent for weakening enemies quickly because it fires two rapid shots and applies a vulnerability effect, increasing all incoming damage.

The Stalwart Greatsword is a powerful two-handed weapon that balances high damage with surprisingly fast attacks, while also boosting critical damage significantly.

The Sturdy Halberd provides strong crowd control thanks to its long reach, allowing you to keep enemies at a safe distance while dealing steady damage.

B-Tier Weapons

These weapons are useful, especially while learning the game, but they are not optimal once you get comfortable with combat mechanics.

The Executioner focuses on survivability and healing, making it helpful for beginners who are still learning dodging and stamina management.

The Plague Halberd applies status effects from a safe distance, which makes it a good defensive option but less impactful in fast-paced fights.

The Arboris Saber provides a balanced playstyle with decent speed and defense, but it lacks the burst damage needed for tougher enemies.

The Rapier of Devastation offers focused damage and some healing mechanics, making it a good transitional weapon before upgrading to stronger options.

C-Tier Weapons

These weapons can work but are generally outclassed as you progress further into the game.

The Dragon’s Breath looks powerful but falls behind in actual damage output compared to higher-tier weapons.

The Dueling Greatsword is a basic heavy weapon that lacks the strong bonuses seen in better variants.

The Dueling Saber is a standard early-game option for crowd control but quickly becomes obsolete.

The Infantry Musket performs well early on but lacks the reload speed and critical bonuses needed for late-game efficiency.

The Reliable Blunderbuss deals decent spread damage at close range but cannot compete with the burst and precision of pistols.

The Soul Eater has an intimidating design but does not deliver strong passive effects or scaling.

The Swamp Creature’s Tooth is a niche weapon with unique traits but lacks versatility for difficult encounters.

D-Tier Weapons

These are basic starter weapons that should only be used temporarily.

The Bonebreaker is a simple blunt weapon that works early on but lacks scaling and flexibility.

The Buccaneer’s Friend is an average starter blade with no meaningful passive effects.

The Crusher deals decent impact damage but is too slow and inefficient for real combat.

The Razor is fast but extremely weak, making it unreliable beyond the early stages.

The Sturdy Rapier is useful only for learning basic mechanics but lacks damage and scaling.

The Sturdy Saber is durable but not strong enough to compete with better weapons later.

If you want the smoothest experience, prioritize getting a strong S-tier weapon early, especially something like the Rapier or a reliable firearm, because they make both exploration and boss fights significantly easier.

At the same time, weapon choice should match your playstyle, since faster weapons reward mobility and precision, while heavier weapons focus more on timing and positioning.
