Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced adds a fresh layer of mystery with community chests concealed beneath the waves. Unlike typical treasure in the game, these chests don’t show up on your map or get revealed through Eagle Vision, forcing players to puzzle out cryptic riddles. It’s a clever challenge that rewards both exploration and sharp deduction, making the hunt for these hidden treasures a memorable part of the pirate experience.
Community Treasure Chest #1
To find the first community chest, you’ll need to interpret its riddle carefully:
“Oh, Dry Tortuga, whose Spanish gold still washes up, Look not the middle, seek not west, Nor where the anchor finds it’s rest, The rising sun shall point the way, To jagged stone and salt sea spray.”
This chest lies underwater just off the Florida peninsula at coordinates (421,939). It requires some navigation, but once there, the chest’s glitter is unmistakable. Inside, you’ll find 4,000 Reales, which isn’t a huge haul but solid enough if you’re early in your voyage. The hint’s emphasis on the rising sun nudges you eastward, away from the center and west, guiding you toward jagged rocks and sea spray where this treasure waits.
Community Treasure Chest #2
The second chest comes with a more cryptic clue pointing to its location:
“Above this chest contains
Be Cautious, Not Unto Paradise
Look due east, and one point north
A lone mast stands against the storm.
Behind it sails a ghostly fleet with no ships at all.
At the end two devilish twins guard the treasure.
Tis the distance you’ll travel.”
You’ll find this chest underwater at (500,167), located west of Kingston. It stands out once you dive down—its shimmer impossible to miss. This treasure is much more rewarding, offering the legendary Uncrowned Prince Rapier and Guardian Beast Figurehead, prized upgrades that make a noticeable difference in combat and ship appearance.
Community Treasure Chest #3
No riddle accompanies the third chest, but the location itself is well-guarded and challenging to reach.

The final community chest rests northeast of Corozal in the Chinchorro region, tucked behind naval guards including a Man O’ War and a Frigate protecting the cove. Drop in at (28,293) and dive beneath the surface to find it. Inside, you’ll unlock the rare Explorer Outfit, which notably resembles a classic Assassin’s uniform—a coveted aesthetic return—and the Aveline Figurehead, another legendary ship upgrade.

Interestingly, the community has uncovered these chest locations even before all the clues were released, showing the dedication and sharp eyes of fellow players. It’s a rewarding system that encourages collaboration and adds a subtle layer of real-time community engagement to the game, making these hidden treasures a highlight for anyone invested in exploration and lore.
