The Locked Away quest in Dandy’s World Halloween event requires you to find several Lock Box Keys hidden across the lobby and Halloween floors. Some are easy to spot, while others require specific characters, interactions, or a code. You can complete the objectives in any order, so you do not have to follow one fixed route. This guide covers all the known locations for the Lock Box Keys, including the lobby, old Halloween floor, and new Halloween floor.

  • Dandy’s World Codes

The Lock Box Keys critical to the quest are scattered across the lobby, old Halloween floor, and new Halloween floor. Tracking down each requires close attention to environment cues, character abilities, and puzzle hints to progress efficiently.

There are several Lock Box pieces spread across different areas. Some require you to interact with objects, while others involve lighting pumpkins or entering a code. Here are all the locations covered in this guide:

  • Lobby
  • Old Halloween floor
  • New Halloween floor

Completing the required objectives in these areas will eventually give you everything needed for the Locked Away quest.

The lobby serves as the starting area, offering some of the more straightforward Lock Box Key objectives. Focusing here first helps players get a handle on the mechanics before moving into more complex zones.

The lobby contains several parts of the quest, including two direct keys and an additional key connected to the pumpkin objective. Start here if you want to collect the easier items first.

Fix the Posters

One key emerges from fixing crooked posters scattered throughout the lobby. Players should methodically inspect each poster and interact to straighten it, rewarding progress with a Lock Box Key.

Once you have straightened the required posters, the game will reward you with the first Lock Box Key.

After aligning all the posters, players will receive their first Lock Box Key, marking a solid step forward in the quest.

An intriguing key lies hidden behind Dandy’s shop but only appears in RP mode. Players must switch to this mode, then find and interact with a forlorn Gordie plush to earn their next Lock Box Key.

You should find a sad-looking Gordie plush in this area. Switch your character to Twisted Gordie, then interact with the plush. Doing this will give you another Lock Box Key.

Light the Lobby Pumpkins

Lighting pumpkins is a recurring task. In the lobby, three unlit pumpkins await discovery—one near the tree, another by the elevator, and a third within Gordie’s shop room. Each must be lit through interaction.

The three lobby pumpkins can be found:

  • Next to the tree
  • Beside the elevator
  • Inside Gordie’s shop room

There are four additional pumpkins on the Halloween floors, bringing the total needed for this objective to seven.

The quest then moves to the old Halloween floor, which houses two more pumpkins requiring the same lighting process, contributing to the total of seven needed for one key.

After dealing with the lobby, head into the old Halloween floor from the previous event. There are several more objectives to complete here, including two pumpkins and multiple hidden items.

Light Two Pumpkins

The old Halloween floor contains two pumpkins that need to be lit. Search around the map and interact with both unlit pumpkins.

These count toward the seven-pumpkin requirement for one of the Lock Box Keys.

Find the Photo in Gordie’s Lore Room

Exploring Gordie’s lore room from the previous event reveals a photo tucked beside Gordie’s bed. Interacting with this photo adds another Lock Box piece, deepening the narrative connection.

Interact with the photo to collect the next Lock Box item.

Interact With the Static TV

A static-emitting television inside the old Halloween house holds another key item. No puzzle-solving is needed here—just locate the TV showing static and interact with it to claim the reward.

Interact with the TV to receive the next Lock Box item. You do not need to solve a separate puzzle for this part, so make sure you interact with the correct television.

Use the Typewriter Code

A code entry on an old typewriter completes the old Halloween floor tasks. Players must input 795229 into the device to unlock the corresponding Lock Box piece, a classic puzzle moment that requires careful attention to detail.

Interact with the typewriter and enter the following code:

795229

Once the correct code is entered, you can collect the corresponding Lock Box item.

New Halloween Floor Key Locations

The new Halloween floor presents the final set of challenges, including two more pumpkins to light and a hidden Lock Box piece near the stage area. Players should explore behind the stage or approach via nearby stairs for a less obvious path.

Light the Two Halloween Pumpkins

There are two unlit pumpkins hidden around the new Halloween floor. Find both and interact with them to light them.

When combined with the three pumpkins in the lobby and two pumpkins on the old Halloween floor, you will have all seven pumpkins needed for the Lock Box Key.

After lighting all seven pumpkins, you will receive another Lock Box Key.

Find the Final Lock Box Piece

The last piece can be found around the stage area of the new Halloween floor. Head toward the stage and check the area behind it.

There is an item hidden there that can be collected. It may also be possible to reach it by climbing the nearby stairs instead of using the unusual route through the area.

Once you have collected this final piece and completed the other Lock Box objectives, you should have everything required for the Locked Away quest.

How to Complete the Locked Away Quest

Completing all these tasks—fixing posters, using RP mode with Gordie plush, lighting seven pumpkins across three locations, collecting photos, interacting with TV and typewriter, and finding the final piece—culminates in finishing the Locked Away quest.

The main objectives are:

  • Straighten the posters in the lobby.
  • Enter RP mode and interact with the sad Gordie plush while using Twisted Gordie.
  • Light the three pumpkins in the lobby.
  • Light two pumpkins on the old Halloween floor.
  • Collect the photo from Gordie’s lore room.
  • Interact with the static TV inside the house.
  • Enter 795229 into the typewriter.
  • Light two pumpkins on the new Halloween floor.
  • Collect the final piece near the stage.

If a piece seems missing, retracing steps to check all seven pumpkin locations usually resolves the issue. The quest’s non-linear design allows flexibility but demands thoroughness across the lobby, old Halloween floor, and new Halloween floor.
