Duskfade immediately draws players in with its striking homage to Kingdom Hearts, especially evident in Zirian’s main weapon—a massive keyblade swung against shadowy foes. The thrill of eventually dressing Zirian up as Sora himself adds a fun, nostalgic layer to the experience that keeps fans engaged as they progress through the game.

Kingdom Key Skin Unlock

Once you clear the game’s first world, the Sea section of Tick Town becomes accessible, unlocking the invaluable Blacksmith location. This is your hub to customize your weapon’s colors, offering ten different recolors, but each requires special materials—specifically Rainbow Ingots—to unlock the corresponding color schemes.

Luckily, the Rainbow Ingot needed for the Kingdom Key skin isn’t buried deep in a distant location. You can buy it straight from the Traveler in town for 500 shards. After purchasing this, visit the Blacksmith and select the “Shared Memories” skin to transform your weapon into the iconic Keyblade that perfectly channels Sora’s signature look.

Sora Outfit Unlock

With the Keyblade in hand, it’s time to match the look by unlocking the Sora outfit. This waits until after you beat the game’s second world and unlock access to the Hills section of Tick Town, where you’ll find Tailord. Tailord’s shop is the only place selling Zirian’s costume recolors and outfits, but it opens only at this point in the campaign.

Tailord offers six costumes with five color variations each. Unlike other costumes you need to unlock by catching Thieving Cats, the Sora outfit is a simple recolor of Zirian’s default look—meaning you can skip the cat collection. Simply purchase the “World Hopper” skin from Tailord’s selection for 1 Dye Flask and 500 shards, and your character will don Sora’s iconic style.

The name “World Hopper” is a clever nod to Sora’s famed kingdom-traveling adventures, making the reference unmistakable. And if you’re into these Easter eggs, Tailord’s shop is packed with similarly inspired skins—like the “Hero of Time” green recolor, evoking other classic gaming legends.
