Magical Princess is one of those games where you’re not just playing, you’re shaping a life. You’re raising your daughter, making choices for her, guiding her growth, and ultimately deciding what kind of future she ends up with. There isn’t a single “right” way to play this, and honestly, that’s what makes it so enjoyable.
There are over 50 different endings, and no mid-game failure state. So you don’t need to stress about messing up. Just lean into your decisions and see where they take you.
This guide goes over how everything works so you can actually understand what you’re doing instead of just guessing your way through it.
Magical Princess Beginner Guide
At its core, this is a simulation game about raising your daughter over time. The choices you make, the stats you build, the people she interacts with, all of it matters.
There’s a lot going on under the surface, and while the game gives you freedom, it doesn’t always explain things clearly. That’s where this comes in.
Also, just a heads-up: there may be minor non-story spoilers here, mostly related to systems and progression.
Basics of the Game
The Game Cycle
After the short childhood phase, the real game begins when your daughter enters the Academy. From there, you have 3 years, or 36 months, to shape her future.
Each month follows the same structure:
- Classes
- Free Time (Day)
- Free Time (Night)
During free time, you spend action points on activities like:
- Part-time jobs
- Hanging out with friends
- Monster hunting
- Gambling (later on)
At first, it can feel like too many choices at once. That’s normal. You’ll settle into a rhythm as you play.
Basic Tip: Save Often
Use multiple save slots. Seriously.
If you make a decision and later regret it, having backup saves lets you go back without restarting everything.
Ending Conditions
You can check all endings under Professions in the Gallery.
If you’re not sure what direction to take, this is actually a great place to start. Pick an ending you like and work toward it.
Some endings depend on:
- Stats like STA, INT, CHA, SEN
- Renown
- Morality
Others require specific actions, like:
- Winning tournaments
- Defeating certain monsters
- Using special items
If you meet multiple ending conditions, you’ll get to choose which one you want right before the ending begins.
Stats & Classes
Main Stats
There are four primary stats:
- STA (Stamina)
- INT (Intelligence)
- CHA (Charm)
- SEN (Sensitivity)
These determine events, combat performance, and endings.
Each one is made up of sub-stats:
- STA = Strength + Vigor + Speed + Vitality
- INT = Magic + Piety + Math + Literature
- CHA = Beauty + Social + Manners + Virtue
- SEN = Imagination + Creativity + Music + Art
You don’t raise STA directly. You raise the components, and STA increases as a result.
How Stats Affect Battle
Each stat has specific effects:
Stamina
- Strength = Attack
- Vigor = Defense
- Speed = Speed
- Vitality = Cooldown recovery
Intelligence
- Magic = Dark magic damage
- Piety = Healing power
- Math = Magic resistance
- Literature = Casting speed and cooldown reduction
Charm
- Beauty = Buffs male allies
- Social = Buffs female allies
Sensitivity
- Imagination = Luck (accuracy and evasion)
- Creativity = First strike chance
HP increases regardless of what you raise.
Also worth noting:
- Manners and Virtue affect Bread Festival results
- Music and Art also influence that event
Bond
Bond represents your relationship with your daughter.
Higher Bond:
- Makes stress-reducing actions more effective
If you consistently use Talk to Daughter every month, this will naturally go up.
Renown
Renown is tied mostly to endings.
You gain it by:
- Helping the kingdom
- Performing well in events
- Winning battles
If you’re aiming for honorable professions, this matters a lot.
Battle Rank
This works like a level system.
It increases through combat and goes from:
- E → E+ → D− and so on
Higher rank means significantly better combat performance.
Choosing a Track
- Gladius focuses on STA
- Magia focuses on INT
- Nobilis focuses on CHA
Classes within your chosen track are easier to complete.
You can still take classes from other tracks. There’s no dedicated SEN track, but SEN-related classes still exist.
Class Efficiency
Classes have progress percentages.
You only gain stats when a class reaches 100% completion, so it’s best to finish them in one go.
Ideal targets:
- 50% per session → finish in 2 sessions
- 34% per session → finish in 3 sessions
If a class is just below those numbers, raise the relevant stats first to improve efficiency.
Skills
What Are Skills?
Skills are unlocked using Skill Points and provide various bonuses to stats and gameplay.
How to Get Skill Points
You earn them when:
- STA, INT, CHA, or SEN ranks increase
If you want more points quickly, focus on your lowest stat.
Recommended Skills
Some standout options:
- A Student / S Student → Faster class progress
- Energetic → More max energy
- Overachiever → More class attempts (very strong)
- Smooth Talker / Dating Pro → Better relationships
- Hard Worker / Harder Worker → Higher success rates
- Self-Help Learner → Easier stat growth
Should You Spend Skill Points Early?
Yes, generally.
But once a stat hits Rank A, you unlock powerful EX Skills. Around the third year, it can be smart to start saving some points.
Stress
What Happens at High Stress?
At 50% stress:
- Your max energy is cut in half
So don’t ignore it.
How to Reduce Stress
- Talk to Daughter (free, no energy cost)
- Family Trips (cost money, no energy cost)
- Conversations with friends
- Items
You can also reduce stress slightly by ending the month with unused energy, but usually you want to spend your energy fully.
When to Use Talk to Daughter
You can use it anytime, but it’s usually best saved for nighttime unless stress is already high.
Family Trip
- Big stress reduction
- Big bond increase
- Can give event scenes and stat boosts
If you can afford it, it’s always useful.
Cooking
Cooking lets you create powerful items that:
- Restore energy
- Reduce stress
- Permanently boost stats
You unlock more recipes as your cooking level increases.
Getting Ingredients
You get them from:
- Part-time jobs
- Monster hunting
Hovering over a recipe shows where to find ingredients.
Efficient Cooking Leveling
Early on:
- Make bread using flour
- Work at the bakery for reliable flour
Once you reach level 3, you unlock better stat-boosting recipes.
Flour remains useful throughout the game, so investing early pays off.
Energy
You start with:
- Full energy in the morning
- +5 energy at night
Total: 15 energy early game
A simple structure:
- 4 activities
- 3 chats
Later, you can optimize with items and skills.
Increasing Max Energy
- Learn Energetic skills
- SEN EX Skill Hyperactive increases it further
Friends and Dates
If you want high affinity:
- Spend time with them regularly
Chat also reduces stress, which is a nice bonus.
Night Activities & Morality
At night you can:
- Work
- Shop
- Talk to friends
- Later: street fight, gamble
Morality System
If morality drops below 30%:
- You enter an evil state
- Lose access to Talk and Family Trip
This makes stress harder to manage.
Raising Morality
- Visit the Church
If you do too many shady activities at night, you’ll need to balance it out here.
Eastern Shekels
Special currency earned from:
- Street fights
- Dice games
Used for powerful items, some of which can alter systems like class or morality.
Battle
Positioning
- Front Row → More damage dealt and taken
- Back Row → Less damage dealt and taken
Magic and bows are unaffected.
Skills vs Magic
- Skills activate instantly but cause fatigue
- Magic takes time to cast but doesn’t stop movement after
You need to balance both.
Weapon Types
- Sword → Physical damage and skills
- Staff → Magic power
- Bow → Consistent damage from back row
There may be more later.
Bringing Friends to Battle
You can bring up to 2 allies.
Requirements:
- Relationship must be Friend or higher
- Shail requires Close Friend
Cornelia cannot join battles.
Recommended Setups
- Gladius (STA) → Main attacker, works well with Shail
- Magia (INT) → AoE magic, pair with strong single-target allies
- Nobilis (CHA) → Support role, works with anyone
Chocolat is a strong early healer.
Raising Battle Rank
Best method:
- Monster Hunt
It costs more energy but gives:
- EXP
- Money
- Ingredients
If you want strong combat performance, you need to do this.
Making Allies Stronger
Depends on:
- Affinity
- Battle EXP
- Beauty (male buff)
- Social (female buff)
If you use certain allies often, invest in them.
Annual Events
Bread Festival (November)
Options:
- Dance → CHA
- Art → SEN
- Walk Around → early stat items
Winning early is difficult, so walking around can be better.
Academy Festival (May)
- Mock battles between tracks
- Winning gives strong rewards
If you’re not ready:
- Spectate and gamble instead
Crimson Moon
Happens every February and August.
No normal night activities. Instead:
- Protect the city
- Visit central plaza
Protect the City
- Fight monsters
- Choose difficulty
- Higher difficulty = better rewards
Central Plaza
- Buy rare items
- Higher success rates for stealing
But:
- You lose Renown opportunities
- Risk damage to town facilities
- Friends may get injured
There’s no single “correct” way to play this game.
You can min-max everything, or just go with your instincts and see how things unfold. The game is built for replayability, so trying different approaches across multiple runs is part of the experience.
At the end of the day, it’s about the journey you create and the future you shape for your daughter.
