The Colossal Titan raid in Attack on Titan Revolution is one of those fights that looks simple at first but quickly punishes you if you don’t understand the mechanics. It’s not about raw damage or just swinging blades. It’s about playing the objective correctly across two phases.
I’ve run this raid multiple times, both with random teams and coordinated groups, and the difference between winning and losing almost always comes down to understanding Phase 1 properly.
How To Defeat Colossal Titan Raid in Attack on Titan Revolution
- Two Phases
- Objective-based fight, not just DPS
- Requires team coordination
- Eren must stay alive or you lose
Even though the game labels it as “average difficulty,” it feels harder if your team doesn’t know what to do.
Phase 1: Cannon Phase (Most Important Part)
What Happens
- The Colossal Titan slowly walks toward the wall
- You CANNOT damage it with blades
- Eren is on the other side and vulnerable
This is where most players mess up.
What You MUST Do
- Go on top of the wall
- Use cannons to shoot the Colossal Titan
- Keep firing consistently
From experience, if your team ignores cannons and tries to attack normally, the run is basically over.
Hidden Pressure: Protecting Eren
While you’re dealing with cannons:
- Titans are attacking Eren
- If Eren dies → instant loss
So your team needs to split roles:
- Some players on cannons
- Some players clearing Titans near Eren
This balance is what wins Phase 1.
Phase 2: Nape Damage Phase
Once Phase 1 is completed:
- The boss becomes vulnerable
- You can now attack normally
- Only the nape takes real damage
What You Should Do
- Focus attacks on the nape only
- Use ODM efficiently
- Stay mobile and avoid damage
This phase feels more like a traditional fight, but positioning matters a lot.
My Actual Experience (What Wins vs What Fails)
Runs That Failed
- Everyone ignored cannons
- No one protected Eren
- Players attacked randomly
- Team got overwhelmed early
Runs That Won
- Players immediately went to cannons
- Someone always stayed near Eren
- Clean transition into Phase 2
- Focused nape damage
The difference is night and day.
Best Strategy (Simple and Effective)
Phase 1
- Send players to cannons immediately
- Assign at least one player to defend Eren
- Keep constant cannon pressure
- Do NOT waste time attacking normally
Phase 2
- Target only the nape
- Stay mobile
- Use abilities for burst damage
- Don’t get greedy with hits
Requirements & Preparation
- Recommended: At least 2 prestiges
- Bring a solid family (Ackerman, Yeager, etc.)
- Good ODM control helps a lot
From experience, underprepared players struggle heavily in Phase 2.
This raid is less about skill and more about understanding the rules of the fight.
- Phase 1 = Objective (Cannons + Protect Eren)
- Phase 2 = Execution (Nape damage + movement)
Once your team understands this, the raid becomes consistent instead of chaotic.
